Over the next few months, Lara went to visit Opal, checking up on her wing to see how well it was healing. She took Jade out to meet her and the meeting was a bit scary at first.

Lara and Jade walked through the woods, the brunette leading the way with Jade trailing behind her, looking around. Since Maxwell was revealed to have escaped, everyone was on high alert, always checking outside day and night, Jade had even put up giant walls of thick ice just in case.

As they walked, Lara spoke. "You okay?" she glanced sideways at Jade, who wore a jacket, despite it not being that cold, and she was immune to the cold since she was the Snow Queen! Hands were in pockets and her head was down, a clear sign that she was worried, paranoid that Maxwell would show up to extract his revenge on them for them stopping him from killing the two of them when Jade's powers were first unleashed.

With a heavy sigh, Jade lifted her head and looked back at Lara. "Sorry, Lara. I'm just so worried. Maxwell has broken out of prison and is on his way here right now for all we know!" she told the brunette, who was also worried. Maxwell was a evil man, intent on harming those who had wronged him or stopped his plans, like when Lara sacrificed herself to save Jade before he had a chance to kill her while her back was turned!

Lara reached out, laying a hand on her shoulder gently. "I know, baby girl. Everyone is on high alert since the news article was released a few months back."

"But why hasn't he struck yet? It's been nearly three months since he escaped." Jade questioned. That got Lara thinking, she was right. Why hadn't Maxwell struck yet? Maybe he was waiting for the right time to strike?

"He's most likely planning something, Jade. He's waiting, buying his time until the moment to strike!" she explained, causing the Snow Queen to narrow her eyes in determination.

"If he tries to harm you, my siblings or my dragon's, he will pay dearly!" she hissed, she held a deep hatred for him after he'd left Lara to freeze to death after she'd accidentally struck the brunette in the heart with her icy magic.

"I know, he will pay for what he's done." Lara was in full agreement to what Jade had said. The conversation ended and they arrived at the cove.

Lara stopped and turned to Jade. "I'll go down first, make sure Opal doesn't set you on fire. She's still very wary of humans."

"I figured. I'll be here until you say." Jade promised, Lara patted her shoulder before making her way down into the cove.

"Opal?" at her name, the Light Fury lifted her head up, ears perked. Her blue eyes widened in happiness at seeing her human friend and she rose to her feet, bounding over like an excited puppy, bowling into Lara, knocking her over and licking her face while purring loudly. The brunette laughed and hugged the Light Fury tightly around the neck. "It's good to see you, girl. Now will you let me up? I have someone you should meet."

Opal let her human up, head titled to the side as she wondered who this human she was to meet was. Lara stood up, wiping the slobber from her face before she said. "Now, I going to let the person come down. Will you try not to set her on fire? She's my friend."

Opal cooed softly, nuzzling Lara gently. Promising to not set the human on fire. Lara turned. "You can come down now!"

Opal looked up at the walls of the cove, spotting a human female slowly making her way down into the cove. As she got closer, Opal could see the left side of the female's face was heavily scarred with burn scars that looked painful. The female soon made it to the bottom and slowly walked towards them. The Light Fury saw the female had long, white hair, a strange colour for a human, her skin was quite pale and her eyes were the purest green she had ever seen. Sniffing the air, Opal could smell the scent of dragon's on this female and purred, so this female was a friend to dragon's. Was this female the one Lara had told her about a few months ago? The female soon came to a stop a few feet away, eyes kind, yet skiddish, like she wanted to run!
