Lara sat in a daze, tear stains running down her cheeks from crying, in the back of an ambulance as one of the officers cleaned and patched up the gash to her left temple, a blanket draped over her shoulders. Alisha, who had awakened a few minutes ago, was leaning on the brunette's shoulder, an arm wrapped around her waist as the second ambulance officer cleaned the cut on her cheek, putting some medical tape on over a small soft pad to keep it covered from infection. Firefighters were struggling to contain the blaze that kept consuming the mansion in flames. A police man was asking the wolves some questions nearby, a notepad in hand as Soren spoke.

Shadow and Opal had taken Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion into the woods, hiding as the authorities and medical crew turned up, making sure to stay quiet and silent, worried for their friends.

"Miss Croft, May we ask you some questions?" Lara did not hear the female police woman approach, nor did she hear the question she asked, just continued to stare blankly at the remains of her home engulfed in flames, the world a faint noise in the background. "Miss Croft?" a hand touched her left shoulder and she jolted back to reality, jumping in her seat, startling Alisha in the process.

"Sorry, yes?" she asked, now focused on the woman. "May we ask you some questions?" the woman repeated gently, holding a pen and notepad in her hands, standing beside the ambulance.

"Um, yeah. Sorry." Lara apologised, adjusting the blanket around her shoulders with one hand and holding Alisha close to her with the other.

"Now, what exactly happened?" the police woman asked gently, opening the notepad, ready to scribble down notes.

"Myself, Alisha and the four wolves were inside after the two of us had gone to visit Jade in the hospital. We chatted a little bit before we heard glass shatter and a grenade was thrown in front of us. I grabbed her..." Lara gestured to Alisha with her head. "And threw her to the ground, shielding her with my body before I was thrown against a wall, her still held in my arms. I could vaguely hear Soren yelling, but I couldn't focus." as Lara recounted the explosion, the police woman was writing down notes, glancing at the brunette every now and then.

"I found a gash on my temple when I reached a hand up to my throbbing head, finding blood on my fingertips." Lara showed the woman her crimson stained fingertips, which the woman took notice of before she continued. "Then Soren was in front of me, picking me up with Alisha, who was unconscious from the blast and had a cut on her cheek. He made me get on his back and the others found us, we managed to find the front doors, which were hanging off their hinges from the blast and Maya shoved them open, breaking them in the process and we could only stare in horror as the flames consumed the house." her voice broke near the end, more tears welling up in her eyes as she held Alisha to her tighter, the teen holding on with both arms wrapped securely around Lara's waist.

The police woman finished taking down the notes before she asked one more question. "Did you see who did this?" she gestured to the ruins of the house. Lara shook her head. "No, we didn't see anyone before we were caught off guard."

The police woman glanced at the ruins of the mansion before she rested a comforting hand on Lara's shoulder. "I am sorry for the loss of your house, Miss Croft. Is there any other place you and your family can go?" she asked kind,y, feeling sorry for the Archeologist and the young teen.

Lara began to think before her eyes widened. "Yes, we do! My family owns a smaller mansion outside London, in Surrey."

The police woman smiled. "Well, looks like you have a place to recover and lay low for a bit. Thank you for your time, Miss Croft." Lara nodded in appreciation before the woman left, closing her notepad as Soren walked up to her and Alisha. Their wounds had been patched up and they were clear to go.
