“You cook nicely.” He said while picking on his food. I was able to see him from the mirror while driving.
“Thank you. You should thank the guy who invented instant noodles too.” I smiled.

“Why you gotta be so rude?”

“I am not rude, I am simply stating the truth.”

He plopped himself to the couch letting a loud yawn that lasted for about ten seconds and I started to become worried.

The road was empty and the lights were a sick colour. Still, the view from the right was amazing, as the sun was setting and the clouds had a strong red cast.
The change of the surrounding made me feel sure about one thing; we are certainly close to our destination.

“I'm bored” he kept nagging.
“Just wait, we're to arrive soon.”

After our slight mental breakdown on a hillside, Taehyung and I thought to take it easy and forget whatever happened, even though I still have to take revenge.

He decided to help me with some maps in order to find the correct route.
A horrible decision really;

“You know this is not even Korea's map, right?”

“Of course, who would be that stupid?” he said looking anywhere but me.
I grabbed the map and controlled myself over face palming.

“Taehyung, I can see you can't really concentrate right now so I suggest you get some sleep.”

But as the stubborn kid he is he insisted in destroying slowly and steadily my already weak plan.
Because of that we took five wrong turns and almost got back to Busan.

At some point he grew tired and went to take a bath. I doubted he left warm water from the time he stepped out and the whole motorhome became foggy from the steam's intensity.

“Hey! I am trying to do your job and take you far from whatever problems you want to hide from!” I screamed to him and was later surprised that he didn't mind my saying.

Now he was playing cheerfully solitaire on my phone. A song was playing not loud enough to hear but still creating a nice, calming atmosphere.

“Do you like spicy food?” I heard him ask.

Ugh, irrelevant.
Memories of my father and my uncles rushed to my mind. All of them eating chili peppers and make competitions only to lie crying in the end from the exhaustion.

“I don't mind it” I answered.

“Wanna play 21 questions?” He asked again after clearing his throat. He sounded excited.

“You already asked one so it's my turn!” I answered, thinking.
“Um, if you could have a superpower what will it be?

“Typical,” he chuckled, “ once, when I was asked about that I said happiness superpower but I guess flying would be good.”
“Meh”

“Okay, what would you choose, grumpy woman?”

“For sure empathy.” I tried to explain “like, being able to understand a person's feelings and emotions.”

“Nice one.” He sighed, then whispered. “Don't you have that all ready?”

"Tch,"I felt slightly attacked. " I found another one if you don't like this one. Um...like a superpower that I can eat as much as I want and whatever I want but don't get fat at all."
He surely gave me a disgusted face.

A few questions were interesting really. Most of the time I thought he just slept or wasn't paying much attention afterall.
At the end I realized that my questions were far too childish while he took it to another kinda dark level.

“What inscription would you want to your gravestone?”

I gasped.
Please tell me this is his last question, yes this is the one.
“Probably something like; I don't know how I got here, I just wanted to go to the toilet.”

“Sophisticated enough. Expected from you really.” He said sarcastically.

“Now at last.” I breathed out, “how much do you change when no one is around?”

Silence.
Please tell me he ain't dead or perhaps getting ready to murder me. Is it too personal?? Of course it is! What was I thinking?

“Depends on the mood really. If I am happy in public there is no difference from when I am happy and alone. I talk to myself sometimes sure, when I am down it gets worse and I try not to show that. I am a public face, you know how those things are.” He stopped.
“I am not quite sure how to answer that.” I saw him furrowing his eyebrows.

“I am sorry” I whispered

“It's okay. I know you for three days and I am more open with you than with many people.”

There was no sound for a few minutes, only breathing and the almost inaudible sound of the radio.

“We're here.” I broke the peacefulness while stopping the vehicle.

“Where is here exactly?” He asked, rubbing his sleepy eyes.

It was a free camping beach, not that far from civilisation but enough for us to be safe. At that season no one was around to admire the sound of the waves and the sun that crashed the sea in a burning rage.
Unfortunately, it was already night when we arrived.

“Better stay inside for tonight, we will see the rest in the morning.” I closed the lights and headed to him carefully.

Lying beside his warm body, with the blankets smelling just like him and with his arms protecting me, I drifted off to the most relaxing sleep.
