Robert loved the cottage, just as Melanie had known he would. It was exactly what they wanted and the price was within their means. But no matter what Robert had second thoughts.

"He's just gonna make an unpleasant neighbor. Who would even want to leave next to him?" Robert asked Melanie.

"Of cause no one. We decided buying a house in the country because we wanted a peaceful life, remember?"Robert asked.

"Yeah! Yeah! Of cause I remember", she said. "But I won't allow that arrogant man make me to back down.

"Well I don't believe in letting go that easily but we could just look elsewhere."

"I know that but I have set my eyes on that cottage and I'm not letting it go just like that. If he wants a fight then I'll give it to him." Melanie insisted.

"But, Melanie do you really think this cottage is worth so much to fight for? Cause really I don't think so."

"Yes! It really is." She stubbornly said. She was in turmoil but one thing she was so sure about she was challenged and she won't be backing out soon.

On the other side Robert was reluctant to deny her . Although he's a man who likes peace, he just gave in because no matter what he would do or say he new she would never change her mind."Okay but I hope you won't regret later."

"Don't worry, I think Aaron's threats are nothing. He's just making a fool of himself and he'll soon see that and back off."

THREE DAYS LATER

Melanie is at her office when she receives a call from Mrs Hudson.

"Hello Mrs Hudson."

"Hello to you too. Well I called about the cottage, I think you will buy it, I see how serious you are about the cottage and also you'll be getting a bargain."

"Okay what about Aaron?" Melanie asked.

"He's worse."

"Hahaha yeah."

"Okay that's all for now. I'll inform you about any updates." With that she hang up.

Melanie contacted her solicitor to ask him to represent her. Finally she can forget Aaron. She later went back to her work.

That week was busy for Melanie. She had so many projects to finish.

"At last I can take a day off. We can go watch a movie maybe have a walk in the park or even go check on the cottage." She had her weekend perfectly planned but what she didn't know what was ahead.
