Melanie had just finished her work early and decided to go home.
Arriving at home, she opened her apartment door getting in. She closed the door behind her and strolled towards her couch throwing herself on it. Resting for a few minutes, she decided to call Robert. After three calls, Robert picked up.
"Hello!" He answered.
"Hae!........What's up!" Melanie replied.
"Anything wrong?" He sincerely asked.
"No! No! Not at all. Just wanted to know if you are free to go out tonight."
There was silence at the other end before he answered.
"Eh........actually I wanted to call you cause I wanted to talk to you. Shall we meet at our usual restaurant. No, I'll just come pick you up."
"Okay I'll be waiting."
"Okay then, give me about fifteen minutes."
"I'll be ready by then."
With that he disconnected the call leaving Melanie in thoughts in what he wants to tell her. Curious she got up from the couch and went to her room. Inside her room, she stripped all her clothes and got under the shower.
She came out of the bathroom wrapped in a white towel. She walked in her walk-in closet. She wore a floral dress with black stilettos then did her make-up. Looking at herself in her full-length mirror, she was satisfied herself. Walking out of her room, that's when the door bell decided to ring.
Walking to her door, she opened it. Robert stood at the other side. He wore a dark jeans and a white shirt matched with a dark jacket. He looked dashing. He also wore a smile making him look more sexy.
They stared at each other for a while until he decided to clear his throat breaking their stare.
"Hae! Are you ready?" He asked
"Yeah, wait a second I take my clutch." Melanie said.
Melanie speed walked to her couch and took her clutch and then made her way back to the door. She closed her door then locked it. All a while Robert was silently standing at the side waiting for her.
They made their way to the elevator. Arriving at the elevator, they got in and it automatically closed itself. Robert pressed the garage button.
'Why is it going so slow?' Melanie thought. She was really anxious to know what he wanted to tell her.
Finally the elevator stopped at the garage section and this made Melanie happy but it did not decrease her anxiety and the million thoughts running in her mind.
Robert led her to where he had parked his car and opened for her the passenger door. Closing the door, he ran to the driver's side. He opened the car door and entered.
He fastened his and Melanie's seat belts. He ignited the engine and sped off from the garage to their destination.
