A sunny, Saturday morning, My mom burst into my room, "Support Group!" She yelled. "I wanna sleep," I mumbled "It helps with cancer," I finished. She sighed. "Ariel, Please," So, I got up. I put on my favorite NASA hoodie, and a pair of Black Leggings. I got into our minivan, and we were off. When I got to support group, I sat down next to Meghan, A girl with luscious gold locks tumbling down her back. She had leukemia, But then recovered. When it was our turn, We stood up, said our Name, Age, Type of Cancer, and our favorite color that day. Our leader, Martin, said that you can tell a lot about a person because of their favorite color. Usually, I was a green, or maybe a blue, but mostly a green. When it got to me, I would say something similar to this: "My name is Ariel, I'm 18, Um...I have Small Cell Carcinoma, and Today my favorite color today is Green, I guess." But today, There seemed to be too many people at support group, I counted. "Me, Meghan, Martin, Ryan, Mike, Adeline, Betty, John, David," But at the end of the row, Next to David sat a new kid. He was staring at me, At first I didn't stare back, I just glanced from time to time. Eventually, I realized that the proper thing to do was to stare back. We got to him, and he slowly got up, still looking at me. "My name is Ethan Adams, I'm 19, I have Chondrosarcoma, and my favorite color is...Orange." He sat down. He continued to stare at me. "I know we usually don't talk about this, but let's chat about our past." Martin babbled. Adeline raised her hand, "Can I go first?" She asked. "Sure" Martin replied. "So, I loved swimming, and science..."

Eventually, It was my turn. "Um, I loved skiing and hiking, and my dad left me when I was born, I got cancer at age 15, and life has been great so far, I guess, I mean except for the cancer." I quickly said. "Thanks, Ariel," Martin said. Betty, John, and David went, then it was Ethan's turn. "Hey, I loved snowboarding, and walking my dog, Bruno, around the neighborhood. My parents want me to be a lawyer, but that's, like, the most boring job ever. I want to be an environmentalist." He casually said. I lifted one eyebrow.

Finally, Support group was over, and I walked over to mom. "Oooh, Who's that new kid?" She asked, "Mom, Please" Was all that I replied. "That's Ethan Adams, Chondrosarcoma, 19," I then added. "Yep, That's me," I whirled around. Ethan was right behind me. "Mrs. Hunter, I presume?" He asked. "Yes, It's a pleasure to meet you Ethan," My mom asked. "What a gentleman..." She whispered. I rolled my eyes. "Do you mind if I talk to Ethan for a second?" I asked. "Sure," She replied. I pulled Ethan over near the door. "Why were you staring at me?" I asked. "You just remind me of someone," He said. It was awkward, He couldn't make his eyes meet mine. "Um, I gotta go," He walked off. I got into mom's car without a word. We drove home, and I went straight into my room. I pulled out my laptop, and watched some Netflix. I didn't realize the time, until Mom walked in and said "Ready for dinner?" I gasped, and looked at the time. Ugh. 5:30. I got up, and went to the dining room. Mom made Vegan Lasagna. " I got some work to finish up," Mom said. "Ok," I replied. Slowly, I feel asleep.
