It was about 10 when I got home. "Did you have fun?" Mom asked. "Yeah, Is there any food?" I asked. "Yes, There are oranges, apples, grapes, Whatever you want," I grabbed an apple, and said "Did you know apple in Greek is mílo?"
"Wow, That's interesting,"
"Milo is also a type of grain," She raised her eyebrows, clearly surprised. "How do you know this?" She asked. "Just a fun fact book," I started "Good Night," I finished. As I walked up the stairs, I heard mom yell, "Sweet Dreams," I shut the door, and climbed into bed.
The week past by like a rocket, and eventually it was time for support group. I walked in and there was Ethan. I gave a shy wave, and he nodded in return. Support Group was normal, Introducing ourselves, Talking about a certain topic, (Today The topic was School) and then we helped ourselves to cookies, and finally, we read a bible verse.
As I was walking toward the car, Ethan ran over.
¨Hey,¨ I said.
¨Hi," He replied.
"I thought you might like this book, 'Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie' " He said, Handing me a book with a bright orange cover. "Thanks, It seems pretty good," I replied. "Bye," He said. "Call me when you finish it," He quickly added. I gave him a confused look, "But I don't have your number." I said. "You'll find it soon enough," He uttered with a sly smile.
When I got home, I jumped onto my bed, and opened the book. On the cover page was a number. "Ethan, Ethan," I thought. I flipped the pages, as I flew through the book, It was a really good one. When I saw Ethan next, I handed him the book. "That was surprisingly good," I said.
"I'm glad you liked it," He said. I handed the book back. "No, You can keep it," He said. "I've already read it like a 1000 times." He said, Handing the book back. "Really?" I asked, A bit shocked by the gesture. "Yeah," He replied. "Thanks" Was all that I said. "What's That?" Mom asked, as entered the car. "Just a book Ethan gave me," I said. She gave me a look. "Mom..." I said playfully. "Ok, Ok, Ok," She teased. I went upstairs.
