I woke up in a room with pale blue walls. A nurse walked in a few moments later, "Hi, I'm your nurse, Paige, How are you feeling?" She asked. "Hello, Your nurse, Paige, How are you feeling?" I replied. She gave me a weird look, Then laughed. "I'm fine," I added. "Scale?" She asked, I knew what she meant. 1-10, 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest, It was how we rated our pain. "Hmm...Probably a 3 or 4," I replied. "That's not to bad...Ice chips?" She asked. "Sure...How long have I been here?" Well, You got here on Thursday, and It's Saturday," She said, Feeding me spoonfuls of ice chips. "Thanks," I said. I left the last few ice chips on my tongue, so they could melt. I reached for the magazines next to me, "No Way, You need some sleep!" Paige said, Taking the magazine out of my hands, "When you wake up, You can read it," She then added, after seeing my pleading puppy face. I sighed, "Ok," I replied.

When I woke up, I heard good news: I was able to go home! Mom fed me soup and checked in with me about every hour.
