Four x Lava Lamp (humanized)

The dawn nearly swept over the current living quarters of the contestant's of BFB characters.

But, it kept everyone awake when a certain number and a variable had arrived. Totally unexpected.

When it all happened, Lavalamp hid from the commotion. She didn't want to get involved.

But, it didn't take a few seconds for a blush to creep over her face when she laid eyes on that blue-haired four.

Four. He was so eccentric in many ways. Ways that seemed to make questions crawl up any contestant's back like a spider.

Questions aside, Four noticed red hair that contrasted over the greenery of the forest.

He murmured to X, "Keep them busy, I wanna check something out."

X simply nodded and scurried to entertain the contestants.

As Four drew closer to Lavalamp's hiding place, she hid completely behind the tree.

"Hey!" He called, rounding the tree, looking down at Lavalamp.

She flushed, but rolled her eyes. "God, your voice," she crossed her arms with a huff. "it's so annoying and squeaky."

Four became still, then laughed. His eyes showed hostility, but he really was joking. And, he didn't realize the blush settling on his face.

For some reason, he didn't want to screech her. He instead felt a wave of emotion swallow him while. He wanted to protect her.

"Shouldn't you be with the other contestants?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Lava buried her neck into the hem of her orange hoodie. "I'd rather be over here."

He shrugged. "What's your name? I'm Four."

She tensed again, ruffling a yellow sleeve. "Lavalamp." She looked to the side, a matter-of-factly sort of glance held.

"Jeez, couldn't you be a LITTLE more respectful to your host?" He inquired, twirling a short strand of his hair.

Her eyes widened, a disapproving frown tugged at her mouth. "Oh god, you're the host?"

It had been a long competition, many teams scrambling to get their basket to the yellow-haired variable.

Right after Lavalamp's team sat down as they finished, the quirky host congratulated them.

Lavalamp couldn't question Four any more than she already has. Or, she found it best to keep rather silent. He seemed dangerous in some ways.

As in thought she stood, that certain host was preambling in her direction.

Tensing up, she quickly scrambled to her feet, trying desperately to leave. She really didn't want to deal with Four right now.

It seemed that whenever she spoke to him, her face would glow and she trembled a bit.

It is no doubt that she loves him. She knows it, but she doesn't want to admit it.

Her yellow sleeve is snatched, and she halts.

Four looks her in the eye sternly. "Don't try to run away from me."

She quickly turns to him, defiant. She grumbles: "What is it now?"

Four ignores her rudeness. "You're in trouble."

Her eyes widen. "What?! I didn't do anything wr-"

While she struggles to explains herself, Four interrupts. "Give me back my heart."

She stops, eyes focused clearly on him. What did he just say? She blushes, eyes burning with embarrassment. "Excuse me?"

Four keeps a straight face, but then suddenly bursts into laughter.

"Yeah, thats right. You've stolen my heart," he takes her hand. "Well, how about we grab dinner at Gelatin's Steakhouse?"

Lava yanks her hand away, embarrassed and flushed. "Fine, whatever. Just make sure to not be late."

Four chuckles and sends her off. When alone, Lava looks around, checking if anyone is watching.

Then she squeals and celebrates, face as red as her hair.

Taco x Female!Reader

A silence accompanied the silky wind that barely rustled every tree's leaves. All of the contestants had been asleep— all but two.

Taco sits on the grass, staring at the sunrise. She fancied her alone time, barely getting any sleep. She loved to be able to be in her own thoughts without her team ridiculing her every move...

A rustle in the grass snapped her out of her deep thoughts. Turning slightly around, she spotted (Y/N).

Ah—(Y/N). It always seemed to lift Taco's spirits when she was around. Lollipop seemed to notice this, and began to tease her about her "crush".

As much as she didn't want to admit it, she loved her. (Y/N) was always there for her when she needed it. She always brought a smile to Taco's face—never failed.

"Hey (Y/N)!" Taco called. "What are you doing up so early?"

(Y/N) shrugged. "I just happened to," she took the spot next to her, on the grass. "Question is, why are you up so early?"

Taco sighed. "I like being alone sometimes...it helps—"

"Oh? Should I leave?" (Y/N) interrupted suddenly, flushing, embarrassed.

Taco became frantic. "No!- No, I like it when you're here." She said quickly, then realizing what she said and began blushing.

(Y/N) blushed. "Oh, o-okay." She shyly looks of the cliff.

The two sat in silence, staring off the cliff—not admiring the view, but thinking of each other with red stained faces.

"Taco?"

"Yeah?" She responded eagerly.

(Y/N)'s eyes seemed to glaze over like newly-coated glass. "Do you feel lonely?"

She eyed you. "Honestly, I do. I really try to please my team, but they never are. My attempts seem to anger other contestants, like Bell. She refuses to talk to me nowadays..." (Y/N) felt a pang of jealously at Taco's mention of Bell. "But at least you're here to stick with me!"

(Y/N) perks up at her last statement, and nods. "Haha, yeah. You're nice to be around." She flushes.

The familiar silence then became over the two. Then, (Y/N) noticed the sun rising, indicating that the contestants would start to awake.

"Taco?" She asked quickly. "One more question..." her face turns red.

"What is it, (Y/N)?" She asks.

(Y/N) purses her lips, then asks softly. "Are you single?"

Taco flushes, becoming stone-faced. "Completely." She blinks.
