"We look like a child care facility," Jude laughs, stepping over the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs with a newly awoken Octavia.Timothy chuckles from the kitchen and walks around the corner to greet them. Both girls had been taking a nap, and Timothy had taken that time to paint, a hobby he's recently picked up being at work only half days on Friday.
"Go see Dada," Jude says, handing the sleepy baby to her father. Octavia greets her father with a happy wave. Timothy smiles and wipes the acrylic paint from his hand onto his jeans before switching Octavia into his grasp fully.
Jude leans up on her tip toes and kisses Timothy's cheek, maneuvering around him to the coffee pot. Octavia babbles to her father, touching his face softly and giggling. Jude smiles at the pair and opens the fridge to find Octavia's yogurt.
"Mmmm," Octavia hums, seeing the container in her mother's hands. Timothy chuckles and sets her in her high chair. Right as Jude begins feeding Octavia, there is a knock at the door.
Timothy furrows his eyebrows and goes to see who it is.
Jude's heart soars when she hears three of her favorite little voices in the main hall.
"Auntie Jude," they shout, turning the corner to the kitchen at a dangerous angle.
"My babies! How are you!" Jude exclaims, scooping all of the toddlers into her lap. Octavia squeals happily, the excitement in the room overwhelming her.
Kit chuckles at the sight he is met with upon entering the kitchen.
"Kit!" Jude smiles, patting his arm. "I would hug you, but I have three little monkeys on me!"
Kit laughs and tickles Octavia under her chin. She giggles.
Jude smiles and sends the kids over to Timothy. She stands to hug Kit and then continues to give Octavia her snack.
She puts the baby in her jumper and lets her bounce herself, watching the kids play.
"What brings you over, Kit?"
"It's about Lana, really."
Jude sighs and takes Octavia from her jumper as she starts to fuss. She sways slowly with the baby on her hip, looking at Kit to continue.
"She's miserable without you, Jude. I know, she's an adult and should be responsible for herself, but you're her best friend. She loves you."
"She should have thought about that before she did what she did."
Kit sighs.
"Jude, I know that what she did was wrong, and I'm not advocating for her. She's letting fame get to her head. But, she misses you. You guys were best friends once upon a time. Hell, we moved out here because of you."
Jude shakes her head and furrows her eyebrows as Octavia's hand finds it's way into her mouth.
"She needs to apologize. I don't know if I could forgive her, even then. She told me she would take out the parts with Timothy and me. She lied, Kit. She's changed."
"Jude..."
Jude just shrugs and walks out to meet Timothy on the deck. Kit sighs again, watching the children run about the back yard while Timothy speaks to Jude in a hushed whisper.
"Why don't you get coffee with her?"
"Timothy, I don't want anything to do with her. Good thing she didn't expose our relationship to the world, because that would have been an entirely different issue."
"Yeah," Timothy says, sighing and shaking his head. Jude hands Octavia over to Timothy and sits in the grass to play with Thomas and Julia.
Kit comes and stands beside Timothy.
"Lana is too stubborn to come to Jude first, even though she feels terrible."
"Maybe she should write a letter," Timothy says and looks to Kit.
Kit nods.
"That's brilliant."
Timothy cracks a smile and sways softly with Octavia as she starts to fall asleep.
After a few hours, Kit takes the kids home. He plans to tell Lana that she should write a letter to Jude.
"God, I missed those kids," Jude says, laying on the couch beside Timothy.
"Me too. I hope Lana can get it together."
"Yeah."
Jude sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose, warding off a headache. Octavia passed out while the kids were still here, and she's been sleeping ever since.
The next morning, when Timothy went to retrieve the mail from the box, he was happy to see a letter addressed to Jude from Lana. He left the pile of mail on the table for Jude to look through once she comes downstairs with the baby.
He hopes she will be happy with the contents of Lana's apology.
Timothy really hopes to finally get back to normal, and really leave Briarcliff behind once and for all.
