Run.That's all I could do.I couldn't rewatch the death of my best friend all over again. My heart racing. Blood.Tears.I trip on something that looked like an arm... Wifi's arm... I can hear them walking... dragging their limbs closer and closer to me. I didn't know what was going to happen. A cold hand placed itself on my shoulder... This is it, I'm going to die. I'm so sorry WiFi... so sorry...

"Kitty! Wake up!" screamed Two.

Kitty rubbing her eyes looked around. All the girls were looking at her with wide eyes, even Lilac who was cleaning her wound looked shaken.

"What's wrong?" asked Kitty confused.

No one answered. They all just stared, frightened.

Finally, Jaguar broke the silence.

"Y-you were screaming, loud. You kept screaming for Wifi over and over again."

"For how long?" insisted Kitty.

This time Lilac talked, "You were screaming for two hours."

Gosh, had it really been two hours? No wonder her throat was sore.

"Kitty are you ok?" Ice Cream asked while rubbing her eyes.

Kitty nodded, "I'm fine. It was nothing."

Dynamite tried to reason with Kitty but was cut off.

"If you ask if I'm OK one more time, I will leave all of you for the wolves!!" Kitty exclaimed, spitting on One in the process.

Everyone went back to sleep except for Lilac, who kept looking at her wound. Each minute it seemed that she got paler and paler. Her bright rosy cheeks now a creamy white. It seemed as if the wound had gotten worse. Her wound indeed had got worse, it was black around the cut, and the cut itself was deep. Lilac knew everyone was asleep and didn't want to wake them, so she went to sleep as well.

The next morning the girls all had dark bags under their eyes.

The night before had kept them up and they barely slept a wink.

Lilac looked the worst. Yellow puss rimmed her cut and her skin was white. None of the girls seemed to notice though because they were all tired and were barely awake.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Then a pause. Bang! Bang! Bang!

Dynamite called the girls to a meeting.

One and Two jumped and almost fell off the side of the porch. Widow and Jaguar stopped talking and started to climb the rope to the top of the Wolf Cabin. Lilac finished applying rubbing alcohol to her wound and sat at the table in the middle of the room. Kitty and Venus, who were already sitting at the table, looked up from their game of cards. Finally, Dynamite sat down

"I know we all had a late night and a tough day so I have decided to let you go into town and get supplies, and yes, go shopping." Dynamite told the girls.

Everyone cheered except for Kitty, who was listing all the possible problems to Dynamite. Lilac also didn't cheer because her chest was hurting her and it was painful for her to breathe. Still, she wanted to go shopping. Her clothes were covered in mud and ripped by twigs. Looking around Lilac noticed a small bottle of painkillers in the bathroom. She quietly excused herself and slipped into the bathroom. As Lilac closed the door she sighed and grabbed the bottle of painkillers. She dumped out one and swallowed it. Almost instantly the pain started to go away.

"Relief, finally," she thought and walked out of the bathroom to meet up with Kitty, One, Two, Jaguar, Venus and Widow at the door.

As the girls were walking through the forest they passed by Fort Payne. All the boys were outside of the camp, working. Lilac noticed there was one new boy. He had sandy blonde hair and chocolate brown eyes. One of Chippy's friends? Lilac thought to herself. The boy met her eyes and gave a wink. Lilac rolled her eyes and continued on her way.

Crunch! Crack! Twigs snapped behind the group as they walked towards town. Crunch. Each snap got closer. The group dropped into a battle formation and circled around Ice Cream.

"Hey! What gives?" Ice Cream protested as she was engulfed by the group, "I can fight just as easily as you guys!"

"Shut up, Ice Cream!", Kitty growled. The bush in front of them rustled and the tall, sandy-haired boy that Lilac saw earlier tripped out, followed by General Chipmunk, a stocky, tan skinned boy and a skinny boy with glasses. Everyone groaned and lowered their weapons. Kitty jerked her katana at the sandy-haired boy.

"Vixen." she growled raising one side of her lip. General Chipmunk stepped in front of the boy and growled at Kitty, getting a grip on his pistol strapped to his belt.

"He's with us now." Chippy snarled. Kitty gave a short laugh. The boy reached behind him to grab a Barrett .50 Cal strapped to his back.

Jaguar gasped in surprise. "Nice gun." She commented. The blonde boy, Vixen, grinned.

"Thanks. Who's the newbie?" He asked.

"That's Lilac." Dynamite said. "We're going to make a supply run. Y'all can join us if you'd like." Chippy grinned.

"Vix and I will join you." He said. The other boys who had been standing with him turned and headed back towards Fort Payne. The group began making their way along the long, winding path that led into town.

The sound of a person jogging to catch up to Lilac made her slow her pace. She looked back and saw that it was the blonde boy.

"Hey, I wasn't able to introduce myself back there! I'm Vixen. I'm an old friend of Chippy's, we've known each other since we were babies," he grinned. With his cargo army pants, black muscle shirt and his Barrett slung behind his back, he almost looked scary. He had tan skin, messy sandy-blonde hair and brown eyes and when she looked at his hair, two tufts stuck up and looked like ears.

He's a little fox. Must be how he got his name, smirked Lilac.

Snap!

Lilac and Vixen dropped down and quickly grabbed their weapons. A girl stepped out of the bushes. She was short and had sandy blonde hair and deep blue eyes. She had skinny jeans and a Thrasher cropped sweater. A black bandana designed with flames was hanging around her belt, and she had black Vans. Vixen visibly tensed next to Lilac. The girl turned to Vixen.

"Vixen? Is that you?" She said. She reached a hand towards him. Vixen cocked his gun.

"Go away, or I'll shoot." He said, aiming the gun at her chest.

"Do you not recognize me?" The girl asked. "It's me, Skye." Vixen shook his head.

"You're not Skye. Skye died four months ago. I saw it with my own eyes." The girl frowned. Suddenly, her fair skin began peeling away from her face, revealing rotten flesh. Her teeth sharpened into canines.

"You ruined the fun." She said in a raspy voice. The rotted girl took a step towards them. BANG! Vixen shot his gun. The bullet hit her in the chest. She collapsed to the ground.

Vixen glared at the limp figure.

"Was that... was that a Deadhead?" Lilac asked. Vixen nodded.

"A newer model. They can take the forms of others." Vixen frowned.

"It's weird that she was alone. They usually travel in packs."

"Wh-" Lilac was unable to finish her sentence as a clawed hand grabbed her shoulder. The last thing she saw was Vixen cocking his gun before the world around her darkened and Lilac collapsed into the cold darkness surrounding her.
