1. Ibueprofen/Tylenol + ginger ale= cure for cramps and mygraines

2. Have a designated set of cheap, cotton, breathable period panties that you don't mind getting stains on for when your time of the month comes

3. Easy guide for tracking your cycle:

Day 1: first day of your period (typically 3-7 days)Days 7-11: preparation for ovulationDays 11-15: ovulation (eggs are releasing, most likely time to get pregnant)Days 21-28: preparation for your next period (potential PMS occurs here)Repeat cycle

4. Ask your OBGYN about birth control if your period symptoms are severe, or your period is irregular. Hormonal medication can help track your period better and ease symptoms.

5. Exercise and drinking lots of water can help ease period symptoms DRAMATICALLY.

6. Green tea also eases migraines and period cramps.

7. If you want to have period sex without the bloody mess:

Take 2 ibueprofen about 15 mins beforehand (reduces swelling and bleeding)Clean your labia with a vaginal cleanser or with gentle soap and water beforehandIf you know you're having sex later in the evening, wear a Soft Cup during the day. It's $12 for a pack of 8, sold at Rite Aid or CVS, they last up to 12 hours, easy to insert and remove, and you dont feel a thing when you're wearing one. For some reason, when I wore one and took it out in the evening to have sex with my mans, I was blood-free for HOURS. It works, ladies.Leave a towel down on the bed just in case.

8. I really recommend Soft Cups for period use in general; they last longer than tampons and pads, are the most comfortable option, and they aren't linked with TSS.

9. Don't use Soft Cups if you have an IUD, however, as it could get stuck or mess with the placement of the IUD if not inserted properly.

10. Masturbate during your period. It relieves stress, boosts your mood, and can ease cramps.

11. If you are on the pill, and you start spotting a rusty colored, light flow in the middle of your cycle, it is NOT your period. Some brands of birth control cause breakthrough bleeding, in which the hormonal imbalances that can sometimes result from the pill causes a weak inner uterline lining that is shed in the form of light blood. It doesn't hurt, and usually only happens within the first few months of taking the pill, but if it persists ask your OBGYN about it.

12. If you're spotting or bleeding lightly about a week after ovulation, and you've had sex within the past 5-6 days, there is a very good chance it is not your period coming early. Sometimes, implantation of a fertilized egg can cause inflammation of the endometrial lining of your uterus, causing the spotting. This is a very early indication of pregnancy in some cases, and you should purchase a test to be sure.

13. If your cramps flare up, try spreading your legs to the side so they are in line with your shoulders, lean forward slightly, and enter a squatting position.

14. Getting period stains out of cute panties:

¼ parts hydrogen peroxide¾ parts ice cold waterSoak panties for 30 mins to an hourDry as usual

15. Make a period playlist of your favorite happy music to keep your moods up.

16. The statistics are low, but you can still get pregnant on your period. YOU CAN STILL GET PREGNANT ON YOUR PERIOD.

17. You can track your cycle also by testing the quality of cervical mucus that ever-so-annoyingly leaks into your panties. If your mucus is thicker, whiter, and sweeter smelling than usual, you are probably ovulating.

💖Hope this helps💖
