Kera's POV:

"Wow. You look amazing Kera!" Steve said as he looked at me with wide eyes.

I had to stifle my giggles at his compliment. "Thanks, Steve. You look really nice too." I said as we hugged. It was then that I noticed it had stopped raining, and there was nothing but a few stray clouds in the sky.

I had especially loved nights like these. I loved it when you could still smell the rain but the sky was just clear enough to see the moon and the stars. I had the most overwhelming feeling that this would be a night I would never forget.

Joker's POV:

"Rocko! Get your sorry carcass in here now!" I swear they just don't have henchmen like they used to, do they? They know I've got big plans tonight yet they insist on clowning around. I pull out my gun and shoot a few rounds into the ceiling. That should hurry them up. Not two seconds later everyone came running out the door.

"Okay boys. Tonight is the night of the big bank heist and I need everyone on their A-game. Cuz if your on your B-game, not only will i lose my head, but you will too!" I said as I pointed the gun at my head then at theirs. This earned me a satisfying cringe from the newbie.

"Frank old boy, don't sweat it. As long as you make sure Harley does her job right you won't get a face full of poison pie." He looked at me with a concerned look them gulped hard. This made me chuckle, but then I realized something.

"Where the hell is Harley!?" All the henchmen looked around with blank faces. "Sorry, Joker. Nobody's seen her around". Come to think of it... I hadn't seen her all day either. "That lowsy dame is gonna make me late for the fireworks display! Agh screw it. We're leaving without her!" We all packed into the vans and left. "On with the show!!!"

A few minutes later we arrived at the bank. Everyone filed out and waited for my orders. Without Harley it was gonna be harder getting in to the bank, but I was alone before. Who needs a partner when you could get all the glory for yourself? "Alright, boys, let's have some fun!"

>Back at Joker's Hideout<

Harley's POV:

I skipped into our old warehouse with my pigtails swaying side to side."Oh Puddin'! Where are ya?" I looked around. Where did Mistah J and the gang go? I know that he was planning a big bank heist for sometime this week, but that wasn't until Friday.

I ran to Joker's office and knocked. "Puddin'? Can I come in?" I waited for an answer, but didn't get one. I cautiously opened the door and waked in; Joker was nowhere to be found. I looked on his desk for any clues as to where he might've gone, but what I found instead was a calendar with many colorful markings on it. One for Bud and Lou's birthdays, some for meetings with Penguin, and a big red circle around today's date: Friday the 25th. I grabbed my Bag 'o Tricks as I realised my mistake and left for the bank. "Please don't be mad at me Puddin'!"

>At an Italian Restaurant<

Kera's POV:

"I'll take the chicken Alfredo with a small side salad, please" I ordered, sipping my sprite as I wasn't old enough to drink yet.

This was extremely inconvenient for me as Steve was a blonde-haired, blue-eyed 24 year old that loved expensive champagne.

"So you never told me, why not drink some champagne with me?" Steve asked, looking straight into my green eyes.

"Oh right! Well its because my birthday is in exactly one week. I turn 21 on April 1st." This made Steve laugh. He apparently found it hilarious that I was born on April Fool's Day.

"So what did your mom say when you were born? 'Is this some kind of joke?'!" Did he seriously just say that!? "My mom died in a car accident you insensitive jerk! I told you this on the way over here!" I yelled, grabbing my purse and coat.

He tried to apologize but I just kept walking. "I'm done with your rudeness and disregard for the feelings of others. Don't call or text me anymore!" I yelled in his face.

I exited the restaurant and caught a cab to go home. I was just about to enter it when Steve roughly grabbed my arm. "What makes you think that you can just treat me like that in front of all those people huh?" He said to my face. "You deserved it! Now let me go before I call the police on your ass!" I yelled right back.

He pulled back his hand as I prepared for the pain to come, but it never did. I looked up to see that another man held Steve's arm behind his back. He had blue eyes and black hair with a nice tux on. " What's going on?" The man asked.

"Mr. Wayne!" I couldn't help but laugh at Steve's expression. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights of a car. "Were you about to hit this lovely lady?" The man I now know as Mr. Wayne asked him, winking at me.

"No! You see....I was just... uh..." Steve stammered then glared at me. "I suggest you release her arm and leave. Now." Mr. Wayne said darkly at Steve who was now walking away.

"Hey is your arm okay?" He asked while examining the bruise forming on my arm. "Oh uh yah I'm fine. I'm Kera. Kera O' Brian. What is your name if I may ask?"

"Oh I'm sorry. My name is Bruce Wayne. I uh take it that you're new here?" He said more like a statement than a question. How did he know that? "How did you know?" I questioned him. "Well normally a women as lovely as yourself would be  throwing themselves at Gotham's billionaire bachelor." His sentence finished just as a bright camera flashed in my face.

"I've been spotted!" He yelled over the growing crowd's yelling. "Would you like a ride home, Kera?" He offered so why not right? "That would be great." He led me by the hand to his limousine. We both climbed in and headed back to my little apartment.
