Clint and I continued to fight off the bots on a small bridge where the legionnaire continued to fly in. Wanda was getting people off the bridge and sending out balls of energy at the bots before creating a forcefield of energy and backing off the bridge with civilians behind her.

"Ellie, I think they might be coming from under the bridge," Clint said.

"Okay," I kneeled down and pressed my hands to the stone pavement.

Trails of frost spread from my hands and I looked up at the legionnaire climbing over the side of the bridge. Icicles shot up from the ground, impaling the bots, then the trail of frost crept over the bridge and underneath. There was a sound of sparks and then the only legionnaire left were the ones on the bridge. I heard Wanda cry out, and I looked over to see her on the ground, a bot going towards her. Clint fired an arrow and the bot exploded, I got up and ran over to Wanda, helping her off the ground.

"You alright?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine," she nodded and stood upright.

There came a low rumbling sound and the ground beneath us began to shake, I reached out to grab onto something, but my hand caught the air and I stumbled. Wanda stabilized herself with her red energy and Clint meanderingly walked over to us and took my arm.

"What the hell is going on?" I looked around.

Clouds of brown dust billowed into the air from the city perimeter and I thought I was going crazy when I saw the buildings ahead of us slowly descending. Or were we ascending? Screams echoed throughout the city and I pressed my earpiece.

"Tony?"

"Keep yourselves stable!" Tony said.

"Do you see?" Ultron's voice echoed throughout the city. "The beauty of it, the inevitability. You rise, only to fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor, my swift and terrible sword and the earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing," A legionnaire stared down at us, Clint shot it down, but another showed up in its place. "When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world will be metal."

"Yep, we're ascending!" I pulled my handgun out and shot a bot.

"Took you a while," Clint replied.

"Cap, you got incoming," Tony's voice came on the earpiece.

"Incoming already came," Steve's exasperated voice replied. "Stark, you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job: tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back." A bot came flying at me and I held out my hand, an icicle extending from my palm, the bot flew into my hand and sparks flew into my face. "You get killed, walk it off."

"Thanks for the tip," I threw the bot down.

Wanda ran down the street after some bots. Every now and then she'd duck behind a car. I ran up to join her and fought off the bots that she couldn't get. I climbed up onto the top of a car and began shooting projectiles, Clint ran over just as a group of bots was headed towards us.

"Ellie! Get in there!" Clint pointed to a small shed and I ran, jumping through the window before a bot shot a ball of plasma at me.

I crouched down into a corner and Clint and Wanda jumped in through the window as well. I began rubbing my temples, trying to calm myself down.

"What the hell..." I muttered.

Clint looked at me with concern and I waved him away. Wanda began to hyperventilate and sat in a corner.
