Lord, Today you blessed me with a beautiful little niece, Victoria Rose.
When I held her for the first time, she was asleep.
She was so peaceful, I could have held her longer.
I waited for a long time for this moment, and I prayed:
Lord, May you always bless her all her life.
May you protect her, keep her and give her true happiness and love.
Just like the happiness she gives me just holding her.
May she grow to love you and trust you.
May she be blessed with love, joy, hope, faith, and patience all the days of her life.
May she grow up as beautiful and delicate as a rose.
May she be smart and full of wisdom.
May she treat everyone with love.
May she be a blessing to her parents all her life.
Most of all make me the best role model an aunt can be.
We are completely bless to have her here. Thank you, Lord! Amen!

This prayer was written on my niece's day of birth and given to her as a welcome to the family gift. As I look back, I realize that God has answered some parts of this prayer. She is so smart and is going to do an internship in engineering this summer. She is also in the honor society in High School. We are so proud of her. She is so beautiful and a blessing to all of us. I do continue to pray for her to love God and to trust him. I hope she does some day. As you read this, I am sure many of you can relate to having some family member that is not following Christ.
