LEO'S POV.

Although the keychain was stone-cold he kept tracing Calypso's name with his fingers. It was engraved in the back of the keychain as his was engraved on her necklace. He didn't remember why he did that but now he was regretting it because it just made him miss her more.

He had sworn on the River Styx that he would come back for her, but he didn't do it so he would be forced to come back neither he felt pity. He did it for her. She was now a very important person in his heart, but he was still confused about what he felt for her. He thought about their last kiss, how it felt the way she tasted. Kissing her meant a lot to him, he really meant to do it and he hoped that Calypso knew it too because he would never play with anybody's feelings like that. He wanted her to know that he wasn't lying about coming back, he couldn't leave her. Even if he died in the battle against Gaia he would figure out a way to free her, or just to see her once again.

His thoughts wandered away from Calypso as he approached the mortal word. He put the keychain in his pocket instantly warming up his hands by forming little flames in his fingers. The island was now a lost spot in the ocean and the beautiful goddess that deserved better was left alone again.

Valletta was fine. It was just another Italian-like city. He was too tired and not in the mood to think of anything or even appreciate the architecture of the place. He simply went to the closest coffee shop and sat down. He ordered a coffee so he would be less tired and didn't concentrate in anything apart from his cup.

When his cup was almost empty he noticed something approaching the coast by the corner of his eye. It was the Argo II, they had come for him. They actually came, they found him. Through the past hours, Leo had totally forgotten them. The only thing in his mind had been Calypso and the infinite ideas that he had planned to save her, of course, most of them were impossible. But he has forgotten about his friends, he had left them in the middle of Khione's attack and he didn't even know how did that go.

And if he hadn't been so concentrated in his own thoughts, he would have noticed Piper running towards him with open arms ready to tackle him. "LEOO!" she said before hugging him very tightly.

He returned to reality and hugged her back; he smiled so he would not worry more about him, "Hi Pipes."

"I'm sorry." she said now looking at him, she had tears in her cheeks.

"Don't be, it's not your fault." he said whipping her tears with his thumb.

Piper nodded and stepped back to let the others say hi. Coach Hedge smiled but threatened him, Hazel gave him a kiss on the cheek and Jason and Frank gave him a man hug. And the last one was Nico. Leo smile disappeared remembering their last conversation. Nico smiled but as soon as he saw Leo's smile disappearing his smile was gone too. He scratched the back of his neck, "Hey Valdez."

"Hi," Leo said trying to smile.

They stood there doing nothing until Nico extended his hand; Leo took it and felt chills all over him. They did a quick handshake and that was it. They sat down and everyone was in silence.

"Where were you, Leo?" Hazel said breaking the silence.

As Hazel said that, he immediately placed his hand on his pocket. The keychain felt colder but he held it tight. He thought of Ogygia, the beautiful island he had landed on. The beautiful girl he had met there. He bit his lip and lowered his gaze.

"Leo?" Piper said and Leo looked at her and smiled.

"I just landed on a desert island, that's it," he said way to fast, "but what about you, what happened with Khione?"

They explained it all. How Piper had wakened Festus with charm speak and how everyone was frozen while everything was happening. He glanced at Nico and he was already looking at him. His expression was in between concern and sadness. Leo felt angry, he shouldn't feel that way but he did. All that anger that was absent after Nico's last words crashed into him. Looking away from Nico he concentrated in the conversation.

"But, why Malta? Is there something special about this place?" he asked after a while.

"Well it is said that Calypso lived here," Frank answered.

"Calypso like the goddess?" Leo said making sure that his voice didn't sound shaky. Frank nodded.

"What about her?" Nico said looking at Leo.

Leo's lower lip began to shake but only Nico noticed. "She-"

"She was a Greek Goddess, I really don't remember her story but I think he was kind of evil. " Frank said.

"No she wasn't," Leo said roughly. Everyone looked wide-eyed at him.

"Leo are you okay? You seem-"

He faked his more authentic smile and said, "I'm perfectly fine Pipes but I really think we should go, we don't have much time."

Jason looked at him and Leo noticed that he knew there was something wrong with him, "Leo is right, let's go guys."

Leo gave him a small smile and they went on board.

The first thing he did in his ship was making sure Festus was fine. "Hey, buddy." Festus eyes lit up and he began to make loud noises, "Calm down I'm back, I'm okay."

At sunset Festus head reflected the dim light of the sun and it looked beautiful to Leo, he had missed him a lot. "I've missed you."

Festus purred in response and Leo laughed, "I have some work for you we have to find someone, but I'll tell you tomorrow, okay?" Festus creaked as saying yes. Leo nodded and he went to his room.

When he arrived he let himself fall in it and he groaned. His life was more difficult now. Every move he made either he hurt someone or he was the one who got hurt. He was tired of it. Falling in love was the problem. Love was the problem. He wished he could wake up with amnesia and forget about everything involving love. Love sucked but then again he couldn't forget every stupid little thing that involved it. Like the way it felt to fall asleep with Calypso in his arms or the way, Nico drove him crazy. Those two just made things complicated.

He decided that he couldn't be lamenting himself so he went to the door and opened it. The thing that he found on the other side of the door made his heart skip a beat. "Hi, Leo."

"Nico," he said and then he was speechless. His face was inches apart from him and he could feel his breath. His knees were shaking and bless Nico for taking a step back.

"I'm sorry, were you going somewhere?"

"I- What are you doing here?" he asked.

Nico took a deep breath and sighed, "I just wanted to talk and say that I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?" Leo asked although he knew exactly what he was talking about.

"Leo look, I don't know why I said I needed time because I don't need time. I need you," he said taking a step towards him. "And I hate myself for noticing that when you were already gone."

It took all of his self-control to not to throw himself into Nico's arms. Instead, he stayed where he was. "Can I ask you something?" Nico nodded. "What happened in Split?"

Nico was silent and he lowered his gaze but then he looked at Leo with a serious expression. "I'll tell you what happened that day." Leo nodded and opened the door so they could enter to his room. Nico shook his head. "Only if you tell me what is it with you and Calypso."
