NICO'S POV.

"MERRY CHRISTMAAS!"

Nico groaned and hid his head under the blankets, "Shut up Valdez! It's July."

"Don't be grumpy Angel, I'm feeling Christmas-y," he said sitting beside him and adjusting his Santa's hat, "We're having Christmas today."

"Leoo, why can't you wait 'till Christmas?" Nico said turning around and wrapping himself in the blankets in the need to fall asleep again.

Leo lied down on the bed and sighed deeply, "Because maybe we won't make it 'till Christmas." he said staring at the ceiling.

Nico unwrapped the blankets around him and looked at Leo's serious face. He was very concentrated on the ceiling and didn't seem to notice anything around him. Nico felt a throbbing pain in his chest when he actually thought about what Leo had just said. In less than a couple of days they will have to be at the Doors of the Death and then in Athens but nothing assure them that they would survive in the House of Hades.

He tried to vanish all those thoughts for now and focused on the moment, "Leo, c'mere." he said with a notorious morning voice.

Leo smiled and curled himself beside Nico, "For the love of the Gods, why haven't I heard your morning voice before?" he said as he tapped something on Nico's chest, "It's freaking majestic!"

Nico chuckled and rolled his eyes, "You always have to exaggerate everything." he said playing with his curls, "What are we doing today?"

"We are going to do what people usually do on Christmas, duh!"

"Well, I haven't had a proper Christmas since I lived in Italy and that was like 90 years ago?" Nico said.

"And now we have one more reason to celebrate Christmas today!" Leo said sitting up and bouncing on the bed.

"Calm down. Can't we just stay here and cuddle all day with coffee and comfy sweaters?" he said hiding his head on the pillow.

"That's a lovely suggestion my dear Watson, but we are having an unforgettable Christmas today," he said removing the pillow and throwing it away. Nico pouted and Leo smiled at him. He opened one eye and Leo gave him a peck on the lips, "Starting now. Get ready, I'll see you at the kitchen in ten minutes."

"Ginger men?"

"YEEEES! Best. Cookies. Ever." Leo said while holding a bowl and stirring the cookie mix. He was wearing a red apron which read: "Kiss the Cook!" And he seemed proud of wearing it. Nico just shook his head and smiled.

"Why are having cookies for breakfast?" Nico asked while taking a ginger men from the tray.

"No my love, the real question is," he said pointing at Nico with the spoon full of cookie dough, "why aren't we having cookies for breakfast every freaking day?"

"Gods, you are impossible," he said and then bit the cookie which was still warm. Nico didn't remember the last time he had eaten one of these but he knew that this was the best one he had ever tasted. A moan escaped his mouth involuntarily. When he realized it he instantly covered his mouth and looked at Leo.

Leo was already watching him with a smirk plastered on his face, "You like it?"

Nico glared at him but continued to eat his cookie with great pleasure. Soon enough Leo gave him a glass of milk, "Saanks," he said with his mouth full.
