(A/N) Hey, Maria here. My friend Emma actually asked that I make a one-shot for Apollo. Also, I graduated.....yEe YeE....... I can't sleep so here ya go
(y/f/b) - your favorite book
(Warnings: open windows during the middle of the night that could let the boogeyman in...uhm....not much else tbh lol)
I woke up, feeling tireless despite having gotten only a little sleep. The window was open, letting a breeze waft through my room and cool myself off. I had just moved in with my boyfriend, Apollo. I had not ever felt less connected with my family. Not that I couldn't connect with them, but I had not seen them since I moved in, which was 3 weeks ago.
I sat on the edge of my bed and watched my loved one sleep for a bit. He was like an angel; hair swept around his face and perfect features highlighted by the moonlight. After I watched him, I carried myself downstairs to try and find a book to read. When I reached the bookshelf, I froze. A small sound carried its way through the house. creak.
I slowly went back to what I was doing. I picked up a few books and laid them on our coffee table, unsure of which one to choose. They all seemed like a good read at a time like this. I finally decided to go with (y/f/b). I set it away from all the others and crept into the kitchen. I heard another noise, but it startled me less this time. I was guessing it was just the house making noise, as the wind had picked up slightly.
I poured myself a glass of water and was about to grab a cheese stick when I heard footsteps. In my mind, I was about to die, so I did the obvious thing. I threw my cheese stick at the intruder. YES! THAT WOULD SCARE THEM INTO LEAVING! I'M A GENIUS.
The intruder was hit in the face with a cheese stick and became silent. Then I heard them laugh. I knew that laugh!
"...Apollo..?" I asked, starting to laugh myself at my own foolishness. He came out of the shadows and picked me up into a hug.
"You're up late, (y/n)." He said with his sun-like smile.
I chuckled slightly in embarrassment as he set me back down. "I couldn't sleep. I've just been missing my family a little, and everything is so new now, ya know, with being together. I woke up and decided to read to see if it'll make me tired."
"That's alright. I actually wanted to see if we could our families to meet up at a restaurant downtown soon, maybe. Let's get back to bed." Apollo picked my water for me and I grabbed my book.
As I sat back down in bed after turning on my reading light, Apollo wrapped one of his arms around me. I knew I read a few pages before I fell asleep, but according to Apollo it was only about 1.
I woke up the next morning to my boyfriend watching Netflix. He seemed so serene in the morning light.
"Hey, Apollo?"
He turned his head to look at my slightly disheveled, bedheaded form. "hmm?"
"...I love you." I said, looking at the open window.
"Love ya too, (y/n)." His smile was brighter than ever.
(A/N) YEET. Hey guys! So, this was my first one shot and I'm kinda proud of it, even though it isn't the best writing I've ever done. Hope y'all are having a good summer, or winter for my southern hemisphere friends. My friend Emma finally got to see Hamilton as a graduation gift! I'm super excited for her and she's decided to text me every seven minutes up until she sees it lol. Anyway, if you want to request a one shot, I'll do it!
