"So, what's going on Amy?"

The ultimate lifeform sits in a library bean bag, setting his supplies beside him as he leans foreword.

"Well..."

I sit beside him in a green bean bag, setting my books next to his supplies and I sigh, looking at the brown carpet.

"I asked Sonic out four times already, but he rejects me every single time. Today, I decided to try my last, but again he rejected me... I always knew he didn't like me," I say, feeling a lump in my throat again.

"Huh? That faker? Oh, Rose... He liked you. I just don't think he's ready for such a pretty, rowdy, and mysterious girl like you,"

His words grasp onto my ears, hearing his voice over and over again. What...? Did he just say what I think he said? Pretty?

"Erm..." I try to act normal as I remove the hair from my face.

"You could be right... But he only likes me as a friend... He'd probably never like me back the way I liked him..."

I bury my face into my cold hands, trying to hold back the tears that are practically about to waterfall from my eyes.

"Hey, Pinky, no crying allowed,"

I hear Shadow say. I look up at him and notice his smirk creeping along his face. His smirk. That's the only thing that'll bring a smile to my face. His smirks are so cute, and well... Kinda sexy, to be honest.

"I-I'm not crying... I'm just trying not to. It's a total difference."

We both start chuckling and then we stop after a few moments. I sigh and twiddle my fingers around in my hair, a bit nervous because I notice that right now he's staring at me. It's not even just staring, it's like he's looking into my soul... Oh gosh... Shadow... Stop looking at me...

"You alright there?" He asks, still looking at me. Are /you/ alright there, Mr. Ultimate Lifeform? You're staring at me and it's making me /very/ uncomfortable!

"Um, yeah... Heh..." I look up at him, admiring his beautiful crimson eyes. Oh gosh. I can't stop staring... Dammit this is awkward!

"Are you really sure, Pinky?" He scoots his bean bag closer so that his seat is touching mine.

"Yes, I'm sure," I say as I elbow him, "and stop calling me that! It sounds weird."

He smirks again, and then he looks away finally. Why was he staring at me...? Was he purposely trying to make me uncomfortable? If he was, it certainly worked.

It's the end of the school day at 3:25 PM, and the school bell goes off a few seconds behind the time. We all stand up with our supplies and most of the teens run, as for most of us like me walk out the door like a normal person. I ajust my skirt, finding myself wanting to talk to Shadow again. Wait- That thought got into my head? Oh geez! I hope I'm not growing a crush on him, that is so awkward in /so/ many ways...

I unlock my lock and open the door to my locker, accidentally hitting the guy next to me.

"S-sorry!" I blush bright red as he nods and I grab my backpack, shoving all of my homework and books into my bag. I quickly zip it up, wanting the day to actually end soon. I swing my book bag onto my back and I shut the locker door, noticing an ebony hedgehog beside me. I lock it up and look at him, a smile somehow painted onto my face.

"Hey Shadow," I say, looking at the floor with red cheeks. What could he want now?

"Hi," He begins the conversation, walking me to the doors.

"I was just wondering if maybe we could talk some more at Cedar Park or something... I have nothing to do for the rest of the night," he sighs as he glances at me.

"Of course, I have some homework to do, but that'll only take about 5 minutes," I walk through the doors with him beside me, feeling a cool breeze and fresh air hit my blushed face.

"Sounds good," He smirked, walking a little too close to me. I felt his black sweatshirt brush against my bare arm, as for I blush a deeper shade of red.

Shadow walked me back to my house, us talking about random things, goofing around and normal rumors in school we heard that day. The worst but funniest rumor was that someone had replaced Mrs. Grosse's coffee with an onion shake. I laughed it off, completely understanding why they'd think that. Her breath was pretty foul smelling, being honest.

I walk up to my door and I open it, looking back at the ebony hedgehog over my shoulder.

"Remember, Cedar Park, got it?" He gave me the slightest smile and I nod, giving a gentle smile back to him and I walk inside, slowly shutting the door behind me. I'm now pretty excited to see what Shadow has in store when I arrive at the park.
