I wake up to the annoying sound of beeping, my leg felt overly heavy I let out a groan opening my eyes realizing I'm in a hospital, All I could smell was disinfectant and a wet smell of clay. Trying to prop myself up I quickly realize that I can not move because my leg is in a elevated sling.

I groaned as I pressed the bed lift and lifted the top half up some so I was more seated, I pressed the call button seeing as nobody was in my room.

A young woman in scrubs walks in, she has dirty blonde hair put up in a bun and light blue eyes.

"oh Annabelle you're awake" she says smiling lowering my leg and helping me get more comfortable.

"and my parents?" I ask knowing they weren't here but didn't want to make it seem like a normal thing for us.

"oh well they told us to call them when you wake up because they wanted to let you rest ill go call them now" she said sweetly looking at my machine's and walking out.

"Yeah thank you," I called after her.

I looked up at the ceiling Adam is probably going to blame it on a suicide attempt or some shit knowing him, I hope I don't lose my special spot it's the only way I can get away from people.

The sound of beeping was making my head ache worse, is this machine even necessary?

After twenty minutes I heard bickering out in the hall way, I hope that's not who I think it is and I hope they aren't coming in here.

I sighed realizing it was my stupid brother and Colby, I'm not sure why Colby's here but my brother is just a pain in the-

"Hey sis, how are you feeling?" He cut me off my thoughts, he was pretending to be my protective twin brother I never had because the nurse and mom was behind him.

"I'm fine," I said annoyed of having so many people in the hospital room over a broken leg.

He looked over at my mother and mumbled; "Told you she would jump,"

"You mean you pushed her," Colby said accusingly.

Uh oh wrong move.

"What did you just accuse my son of, you little brat, how dare you say that about my son," My mother said angrily.

"I'm not accusing him of anything I was there," Colby said calmly.

Mom looked at me with anger and quickly calmed herself, straightened out her clothes before speaking.

"Annabelle, I'm going to go sign off on these papers you get dressed so we can leave," She said giving Colby a disapproving look.

"Okay," I sighed looking at the two people left in my room.

"Are you guys gonna wjn atch me change or something, get out," I said pointing to the door, they gave each other a look and left.

I quickly got changed with this stupid cast and picked up the crutches the nurse gave me earlier, slowly making my way out of the hospital room. Colby was still standing at my door, I yelled out of shock.

"What the hell Colby?" I asked.

"I needed to tell you something," Colby said with no expression.

"Okay, what is it?" I said as my arms are getting tired.

"I think your brother is a psychopath," he said quietly.

I started laughing, like loudly and everyone around us stared.

"I don't get it, I wasn't kidding," He blinked at me.

"That's my entire family," I said through fits of laughter.

"Come on Annabelle we are leaving, say good bye to your, friend," My mother paused between 'your' and 'friend' I know what she was hinting at.

"Yeah, I'm coming," I said over his shoulder.

"See ya at school Colby," I said limping towards the hospitals exit.

I knew as soon as I leave these doors my life in hell will continue worse then it already did.

The drive home was silent and quick, when we got to the house I rushed out as fast as I could with these crutches. I move past my family and fought my way up the stairs to my room, slamming my door shut I drop onto my bed plugging my phone in I shut my eyes and let the tears run down my face.

I must have fell asleep because I woke up to a loud annoying alarm, I forgot about school, I get up and try to get ready for the day.

Come to find out mom and dad had to stay home from work to come to the school with us to speak to the police about the fall because someone sided with me saying I didn't fall. and that I was pushed by Adam, we all sat in the office; myself, Colby, Adam, Stacy, and Adams gang along with all our parents they started with mine.

"If I get in trouble for this you're dead," Adam whispered in my ear after they disappeared into the office, I took a side glance but kept silent.

about half an hour later the Principle; Mr. Williams took Adam and it went from there, after a couple hours it was finally my turn.

I got up out of the leather seats and slowly walked towards the principles office, I took a deep shaky breath.

Should I finally tell the truth that all those years it wasn't me, that I was harassed by my twin brother. Maybe I'll finally be able to survive high school without him harassing me twenty-four seven.

But as soon as I walked in all thoughts of coming clean had been stuck in my throat, everyone standing in front of me I began to panic; four police officers, my parents, and of course Adam.

"Please take a seat Miss. Price," Mr. Williams gestured toward a seat next to my brother, I looked at my mother who had her arms crossed looking at her watch. I quickly took my seat and clasped my hands together as I waited for what came next.

A police officer leaned against Mr. Williams desk and close to my face making me uncomfortable and hard to keep eye contact.

"Miss. Price is it true your brother pushed you off of the roof, or did you jump?" Before answering I held my breath and looked around the room my brother staring at me trying to look innocent but that was where I knew he was at his most dangerous.

"It was an accident," I said calmly looking back at the cop.

"That you jumped or that he pushed you?" The police asked looking at me through cold grey eyes, judgemental.

"That he pushed me," I took a quick glance at my brother before continuing. "Adam and Colby were rough housing and I misunderstood and got in the way and he accidently pushed me," I said looking back at the police officer.

"I see, if that's the case," He paused looking over to my brother. "Why did you tell us that she jumped?" the police all glaring at Adam accusingly, I was still holding my breath.

"Well I was scared sir," He answered swallowing hard.

"Scared, why?" He asked with more accusing tone.

"I thought even if it was an accident that you would still arrest me," He said sounding as honest as he could.

"I guess that's understandable," The officer sighed getting up from the desk.

"So am I in trouble?" Adam asked worried.

The officer looked behind him and then back at Adam before answering.

"No, boys will be boys, although its a shame about your sisters leg, did you at least apologize?" He asked with his hands on his belt.

"Yes sir," Adam replied.

"Well then sounds like were just about done here," He said heading toward the door.

We all nodded as we got up and followed behind as he was getting ready for his statement with the rest of the people involved.

"Okay so a few things first I want to thank everyone for joining us as for what we have found at this point is that the fall was an accident and that the two of them have successfully worked it out, thank you for your time and energy it took to come here today, everyone is now excused," the beefy officer said.
