Outside the depths of the cave, within the capital of Arcaous, the official annual fire festival is well away from being celebrated into a culmination of excitement, sweets and overall exultating connotations of past events. Lights made up of small wicks of fire are encased in beautiful diamond-shaped paper lanterns, of which saw no wear and tear, were strung up above suburban areas with decorative ropes. Many stores and supermarkets within this major metropolis are scheduling to close for the event and the most famous of musicians have traveled from far and wide to play within the most dazzling of parades.

Prince Varence, the shiny luxray who's descendents married into the Lycanroc family to presume the power to rule, had partook in this special event ever since his aristocratic parents had interested him to participate although he is not one with the nature of fire.

Inside the fortress of Arcaous...

"Prince Varence, pleased to meet your acquaintance your Excellency!" a Delibird squire exclaimed, giving Varence his absolute attention as he possibly could. "Why art thou jestering to thee mistress if thou ineptitude equates?" he said while removing his hat all while kneeling with one knee on the cold, hard convex floors.

Prince Varence nodded once and pointed to one of his armed Gallade guards, conveying a vague expression that no one else understands. The guard promptly came in close contact with the Delibird squire and firmly whispered to him, "Your Excellency declares you not to speak in such irrelevance if you do so please."

The Delibird reacted nervously, "Oh- Ohh! My apologies sir-- oh I mean, your Excellency!" he said while going back to his previous kneeling position, sweating profusely.

Prince Varence inherited the throne when he was a young adult, asserting firm feral dominance over the now monarchaic government ever since more Pokémon in the capital had started to become corrupt with unruly considerance. His blame on the kings of the past who brought crime to the streets gives Varence justification for his actions as ruler, although the Pokémon of Aracous say otherwise. Although he resides as the ruler of the monarchy, he has yet to become king, as an ancient statute decrees that one can only be king with a queen by his side.

"This 'aquaitance' of mine that you so mentioned, her title remains as Essentia and she is a representative of our neighboring ally 'Depinrose'." Varence caressed the edges of his throne's side-arm with his claw in a circular motion, making a scraping noise as he spoke to the Delibird.

"To my despair, Valiant Cardighan won't be able to attend the Festival of Fire due to embedded complications. So as a matter of demarcation, Essentia, can you alleviate your matter of business here?" he said in an oblivious tone.

"Yes quite Prince Varence," Essentia said as she walked down the dozen of stairs that separates the nobles from peasants.

A beautiful bipedal dawn Lycanroc stood in the midst of the Delibird as she walked the very last step down the stairs. She wore a fancy, high class dress which went down to her ankles which The simple expression of fixing her fur in reaction of it bunching up in her burét instigated a flurry of confusing set of allegories that had not instigated in the delibird's mind since then.

"Every 50 years the nation of Arcaous organizes the Fire Festival to illustrate not only appreciation for fire types, but the burning spirit of all Pokémon who's inherent disposition knows no bounds." Essentia announced as her voice echoes throughout the room.

"Our goal, in and of itself, derides in..." The delibird had listened but his fixed attention soon cultivated into an informal gaze, seemingly gawking unto the point where he went deaf from hearing nothing but echoes of a intelligible, but beautiful sounding voice.
