--- A Couple of Days Later ---

--- 27th of January, 1963 ---

The days were elapsing as swiftly as summer breeze, resulting the diminishing of the remaining time for living.

As Odette and Charlotte moved in Kit's house, the Howards paid a visit as often as they could along with the baby twins and staying for hours, spending time with the young couple and their granddaughter. During their stay in Odette and Kit's home, they spend usually time with the children by playing with them, communicating with them and teaching them some necessary stuff even when they're already one-month-old only.

At last but not least, today was the juvenile singer's childhood friend birthday, Serena. Despite she didn't deem her birthday as anything special than just a regular day, nevertheless, the librarian didn't want to miss her opportunity to celebrate it authentically as if it's her best birthday celebration ever in her life. Furthermore, the librarian has decided to invite solely her inner circle friends on her birthday party, reckoning Kit, the twins and Charlotte.

The late January weather in Boston was as frosty as the usual for the episodical seasons, followed by the myriad of crystal, wee snowflakes, tumbling down sluggishly as they danced until they peaked the snow carpeted ground, stratifying thicker snow carpet. Although the snowy and chilly weather, the sky was vaguely lucid, allowing the scintillating, howsoever, dim sun to disperse its own vibrant sun rays, bathing everything below in light and scarcely melt.

As the afternoon hours dawned, the orphan welcomed warmly every guest, who's part of the inner circle and talking with each one of them once everybody's arrival, besides the radio was already plugged in the socket, subsequently playing the recently playing music on the radio in the background, rendering the ambience even more rejoicing and inviting for the guests.

"Every limbo boy and girl! All around the limbo world gonna do the limbo rock! All around the limbo clock! Jack be limbo, Jack be quick! Jack go unda limbo stick!" Chubby Checker's song was currently playing on the radio as his eloquent voice chanted the lyrics.

Whilst Elsa, Evelyn, Jack, Charlotte and Judy were sitting on the kitchen table, drowning themselves in long discussions as their surroundings abided unarguably oblivious for them as Lucas was into his mother's arms and Charlotte was in Elsa's protective, doting embrace, Timothy, Lucas, Massimo, Kit and Odette weren't seating as they were dancing, following the song rhythm as the former priest held gingerly his modicum son, swaying his hips.

Beaming, megawatt smiles cradled their lips as Serena was in the kitchen, filling Elsa, her own and Massimo's glasses with some white wine, pooling their half glasses. After filling the glasses, throughout the strawberry-haired girl cried out loud as the question was directed to the guests:

"If anybody wants some white wine, now it's the time to receive a glass, filled with white wine!"

"No, thank you!" Timothy replied cheerfully as an intoxicated smile distorted across his berry-coloured, damp lips as his condition was tipsy, painted upon him. "I had enough white wine."

"I won't fill Judy and Oddie's glasses with white wine since they're with kids and breastfeeding them per a few hours." The librarian cautioned sternly as she increased her voice decibels, in order to draw the others' attention and receive once an emphatic response at least. At the moment, her porcelain, youthful complexion crinkled shortly after stamping the wine's bottle tap and putting it back in the refrigerator, which was approximately a handful of inches distanced from her.

"Look at this cutiepie! She really looks like her mother." The German emigrant lightly swinged the infant into her secure, loving arms, lowering her gaze to Charlotte, admiring her indisputably endless beauty and enchanting facial features, which she has inherited from her mother.
