--- A Few Days Later ---
--- 31st of October, 1962 ---
A couple of days have elapsed since the Howards have gone to the doctor to perform an ultrasound test by determining the unborn children in their wombs' gender as they concluded to the circumstance that Judy was expecting twins unlike her daughter, who was pregnant with a baby boy. The days passed as swiftly as a summer breeze.
Jude and Odette weren't immensely and eagerly looking forward for Halloween, howsoever, they'd rather prefer celebrate altogether by disguising themselves in odd creatures rather than stay all day and all night at home as almost usually.
Further, their mansion was adorned, based on today's theme with a couple of craved pumpkins motionlessly embellishing the front door and the yard, whereas the rest of them were in the other rooms.
Whilst Judy was putting on more comfortable classy black pumps, shoeing her petite feet, she was sitting on the edge of her bed. The former sister of the church wore satin black gown with long sleeves and V neckline as its glamorous hem dropped down to her round knees, exposing partly her yet perfect shaped calves even if she was in her final trimester.
Her angelic ringlet of old Hollywood honey curls cascaded down her shoulders, framing ideally her porcelain, parchment complexion as a tall witch hat capped her aureate ringlet. Black, lacy stockings layered her long as tower, drop dead gorgeous legs.
Judy has already applied some make up such as ravish me red lipstick, besides black mascara on her long eyelashes and some smoke dark grayish eyeshadows, tattoed on her eyelids. She has already sprayred some rosy perfume on her cleavage, wrists and lion mane.
In the meantime, the door creaked as it was askew opened by Odette, who snuck up in subtle manner, pursing her bright pink lips in unsettled way as her gloved in waxed, glamorous black gloves which sleeved her forearms to the elbows, dithered as if she felt like an intruder, invading somebody's inner space ruthlessly.
Perhaps the brunette was dressed up in black sleeveless jumpsuit, wine red cardigan along with black comfortable, practical Mary Janes, black gloves and ruby pair of studs along with pendant, adorning her swan neck and petite ears. The fragrance of roses emanated from her one-sided lion mane of straight silken chestnut tresses, covering her left shoulder.
Hazel met hazel as they linked one another's irises as the blonde's smile cracked upon her yet young-looking, fresh complexion, picturing her felicity of beholding her daughter as if the older lady was on cloud nine. Despite her far from oblivious felicity, painted on her face, Jude was concerned over her daughter's panicked facial expression, sketched on her naturally youthful face.
"You seem panicked. Is everything alright, Odet?" This time the middle-aged lady prefered to address her daughter rather with shorter name as they were best friends for a long time. She ushered Odette to take a seat alongside her on the edge of the king-sized bed.
"I just thought ya were dressing up yet, hence, I didn't want to be so brash or intruding at all." The juvenile singer took a deep breath by taking her mother's hand into her smaller, creamy one.
"Ah, darling! You shouldn't be feeling down just because you came into my bedroom. It's alright!" The former nun opted to soothe her daughter as her soft lips lightly grazed her cheek in an affectionate, feather peck. "Ya are at home! You aren't in public."
"I know, however, I know how embarrassing it would be seeing you wearing nothing else than just your lingerie or be as stark as a baby." The brunette evoked out by clearing her throat as she lifted up her hand by tipping the pecked spot with her soft as satin fingertips, brushing featherly as if her caress resembled a mother touching even stroking her newborn's child head.
