War is something most would say is foul but to some, it is welcoming. Three empires control the galaxy. Each one is at war with each other for their own reasons. These Empires are the Volran Empire, the Balis Empire and the Kalon Empire. The war has been going of for 549 earth years and has been in a stalemate for majority of it.
The Volran Empire is controlled by three royal families: The Velen family, The For'ka family and the head family, the Volran family. Each planet they take is put in to one of five categories: industrial, financial, military, political and slave planets. They fight for power, nothing more, nothing less.
The Balis Empire is controlled by Kal'fa Balis, a tyrannical leader. All the planets he controls are militaristic. His empire kills all who defies him, while everyone else is forced to fight in the war or work in war factories. Kal'fa and those before him were all warmongers, unfortunly this mindset as plagued the minds of the people he rules. They don't fight for anything they fight just to fight.
Lastly the Kalon Empire is lead by Isla Kalon. She is only a teenager forced in the position of power due to her mother death. Because of her young age, her empire's counsel makes all the decisions, but she still has the final word but she rarely uses that power. The Kalon Empire is slowly starting to fall. All the people in this empire live free lives but are constantly drafted into the military for defence, a life they don't want but understand they must have.
At this point, Earth was not conquered by any of the empires. The solar system sat in between the Volran Empire and the Balis Empire. Despite this being the front lines of the conflict between the two empires, The solar system remain untouched. Humans developed advanced space travel and colonized the entire solar system but it wasn't advanced enough to be able to travel outside of the solar system. Because if that Human was unbeknownst of the war. This was until the Volran Empire discovered it.
Volran saw the value of Earth's solar system because of it mere size with it being one of the bigger solar systems out there. Humans be the only intelligent life there Volran sent a single battleship to make contact with the human. With only one message: "We the Valran Empire will claim this system for our own for the betterment of the empire. Comply or face repercussions." Humans did not take kindy to that. Thus, The War for Earth began.
To Volran, victory was ensured. But they lacked the one thing that would've would have made it true, the knowledge of human history. Humans were different than the other forms of intelligent life in the galaxy. Other lifeforms evolved to cooperate as a whole, because of this war never played a big part in their evolution. But humans have been at war with each other pretty much since they existed, because of that humans to perfected the art of war over the thousands of years.
The War for Earth was a 6 year war with over 5 million casualties. Costing Volran a great percentage of their fleet. It wasn't until Volran pull majority of its fleet the the front line of the war between them and the Balis Emipre there were finally able to conquer Earth and the solar system. But their great losses shook them to their core causing them to treat humans awfully.
Any human they fought in the front lines of the war was killed, forced to fight for Volran or sent to slave planets. But some of them hide among the rest of the humans in the solar system. The solar system was created into an industrial system making every planet responsible for the production of majority of Volran's ships and equipment.
Most humans simply comply with the empire to try to avoid many unnecessary hardships. But some still hold on to that faint light of hope.
