Yoo Kyung Wan's POV

It was raining heavily, I sat comfortably in my car, driven by my driver, heading home. My driver hit the brake, and we came to a stop as the traffic light turned red. I glanced to the window on my left and saw a familiar girl, wearing the same uniform as me, meaning that this girl went to my school too. She was blowing air, looking bored. I squinted my eyes and realized that it was Mina. I usually would just ignore this kind of situation, but somehow my body acted on its own.

I grabbed an umbrella and ordered my driver to unlock the car. My driver faced me and shot me a confused look, but he obeyed me anyway. After I heard a click, I opened the door and the umbrella and ran to the bus stop.

"Come on!" I urged Mina, standing in front of her under my umbrella.

Mina only shot me a confused look. I turned around as I heard honking. Shit, the light turned green already. I grabbed Mina's hand and ran toward my car. I let Mina get in first, before closing the umbrella, got in and closed the door and my driver drove away immediately.

Mina shot me a confused look and I was overwhelmed with embarrassment.

"W-well, y-you see, Think of this as a thank you for lending me your notes?" I tried to explain, but it sounded like a question instead.

Upon hearing my answer, Mina's lips curled into a smile and I felt my heart skip a beat.

"Thank you, Kyungwan. That's very kind of you. I forgot to bring my umbrella today and I would be soaked wet, if you didn't offer me this kindness. I have to attend a tutoring session tonight, but I need to go home to eat dinner first before that." Mina beamed.

"You should join us!" Mina chirped.

I rubbed my nape and demurred, "No thank you, I wouldn't want to bother you guys."

"I insist" she insisted.

"O-okay" I stuttered. Damn it, what's wrong with me? Why did I keep on stuttering?

Then, I heard an angelic chortle.

"You're cute when you stutter" she pointed out.

I was sure at this point my face was beet red.

"I thought you're a tough guy, turns out you're just a cute boy haha" she teased.

"I'm not cute!" I fumed.

"Really?" she asked, while leaning closer to me.

I froze. She leaned back again and smirked.

Damn it! My precious reputation! TT

She started showing my driver the way to her house. After a while, we arrived. Her house wasn't big, it's a two-story house but wasn't big. The rain had stopped by now and she led me to her house. I took off my shoes and wore the slippers Mina handed to me.

Mina shouted something in a language I didn't recognize. She led me to the dining room and I saw her parents were sitting there, probably waiting for Mina. I politely bowed and introduced myself. Her father chuckled and welcomed me. Mina led me to sit beside her.

Mina then began speaking with her parents in a foreign language. What language was that? Chinese? Japanese?

Seeing the confusion on my face, she explained, "I'm Japanese, if that's what you're wondering about"

"We're waiting for our two sisters now" she added.

I nodded to her in response.

"Thank you for bringing my daughter home safely" I heard Mina's father thank me.

"Ah, you're welcome" I shyly responded.

"I heard that you're the son of Yoo Changjoon, the successful CEO." Effused Mr. Myoui.

At the mention of my father, I frowned.

"My second daughter works in your father's company" he proudly proclaimed.

"She should be here anytime soon" he chirped.

Soon I heard a high-pitched voice shouting something in Japanese. I heard the sound of footsteps and a squirrel-like woman in business attire appeared and sat at my right. I guessed that she was Mina's sister, so I introduced myself to her. Then, unexpectedly she pinched my cheeks.

"You're cute, are you taken?" she flirted. I was beyond shocked and uncomfortable.

Mina saved me by telling me to switch seat with her, so I did. Then, Mina began scolding her sister in Japanese and her sister pouted.

"This is my second daughter, the one who works at your father's company!" Mr. Myoui introduced Mina's sister to me.

Mina's sister gasped and shrieked, "Please forgive me! Don't tell your father to fire me!"

I chuckled.

"Don't worry, I won't do it" I assured her.

Then another woman arrived, she took a seat. I was about to introduce myself to her, but everyone, except for me, shouted in unison, "Itadakimasu!" and digged in their foods.

I looked at them confused and eventually digged in my food as well.

After I finished, I politely complimented Mrs. Myoui for her delicious food and excused myself, before my phone rang.

"WHERE ARE YOU? WHY ARE YOU NOT HOME YET?" Nayeon noona screamed, making me distance the phone from my ear.

Unexpectedly, Mina grabbed my phone and said, "Hello, This is Mina, Kyungwan's friend. Kyungwan brought me home today because it was raining heavily. So, I invited him to eat dinner at my house. He is with us now. Please don't worry about him!"

I quickly grabbed the phone, uttered, "I'm going home now!", then hung up.

"I'll be going now" I excused myself.

I bowed and quickly rushed to leave.

When I arrived home, Nayeon noona was already waiting for me. She crossed her hands and gave me a smirk.

"So, you take my advice and finally make friends" she teased.

I ignored her and walked past her and headed to my room upstairs.

Gosh! My precious reputation! TT
