"...And that is how I lost my lucky tooth," Rotten declared.

Nova applauded her with a big smile. "Great story!" she cheered. "I liked the part where they had to use a pair of pliers."

"Yes. I'm so happy we're all dead so that we can listen to your stories," Alpha said.

Rotten shrugged. "I was going to tell them at Wattcon, but I don't think we're going at this point. Alpha thought to himself that he would rather be at Wattcon while Nova and Rotten continuing stirring up a conversation."

"You got any other stories?" Nova asked.

Rotten made a "hmmm" sound. "Well, there is the one where I..."

Alpha felt the words being spoken in his earshot fade into mumbles as he averted his gaze to something he saw off in the distance. Like Rotten, Nova, and himself, what he saw had a soft, outer glow. After further investigation, Alpha saw that it was none other than Bear.

Bear, as in the fourth victim.

The boy didn't know how to feel. Every day someone died, and no one knew who was going to be next. Well, one person knew, but none of the other people knew who knew.

Alpha, for a slight moment, was apathetic about sighting Bear. That was, until, he got a few flashbacks narrated by Rotten's voice in his head.

"I have a small request. I would like one of my enemies come and join me."

"Lemon, Bear keeps kicking my seat and won't stop!"

"Bear, I swear to god I am going to murder you!"

Bear was one of her enemies. Her request actually worked.

Alpha immediately saw this as bad news and hustled towards Bear.

"Where is he going?" Rotten asked, still facing Nova.

The other shrugged. "Probably has an upset stomach and needs to go to the bathroom."

Alpha continued to run, breathing short breaths as his determination to warn Bear was growing. He yelled "Bear!" when he felt Nova and Rotten were too far away to hear.

Bear tilted her head for a moment. "Huh?" As soon as she recognized who was running, though, her eyes lit up. "Oh hey, Alpha! Wassup?"

"No time for 'Wassups'," he stopped in his tracks. "You need to get out of here quick. Run away, hide, do whatever you can to get away."

"But, where am I?" Bear asked.

"I don't have time to explain. Just, go."

"I'm confused," Bear whined.

"Bear. Go," Alpha demanded.

"Why won't you explain anything to me?"

"I am actually swearing to god if you don't move your-"

"Yooo! Nova!" Bear interrupted him. "Man, it's been a minute!" She cringed at the sight of who was beside her. "Oh, and uh, hey Rotten."

"Goddammit," Alpha breathed out in a whisper.

"Hello, Bear," Rotten giggled. She slowly walked up towards her prey. "I've been saving my energy for you..." The girl was a mere few feet away from Bear before Alpha jumped in front of Bear.

"Enough!" he barked. "Seriously guys, we are dead. D-e-a-d, dead to the dead. Someone is going around killing everyone we know and instead of seeing if there's a solution, we're actually wanting more death to happen! What is wrong with us? We're actually asking that... thing to give us what we want and they all require death."

"Wait, what thing?" Bear asked.

Alpha ignored Bear and continued with berating the group. "From now on, no one speaks in that direction. No one even looks in thay direction."

Bear turned around while Alpha was still scolding everyone. Since she was behind the boy, he was unaware of her movements. The girl saw what Alpha was ranting about, clear as day.

"Ohh... hi," Bear nervously waved while she walked down the forbidden direction. "My name is Bear. How are you? Listen, I'm still confused on why I'm here or where I am, and I'm glad I'm not alone but..." Bear trailed off. "You can keep a secret, right? Well, ok, here it goes. Those three buffoons aren't my friends, and if I have to be stuck in this limbo for what I assume to be eternity, I want someone who's my friend to accompany me."

"Can you help me with that?"
