"I knew it! I knew it was her all along!" Nova exclaimed. "Beth, the goodie-two shoes killed us all in cold blood."

"How could this be?" Alpha asked, dumbfounded. "What the fuck did we do to piss her off so much?"

"Yeah, no one likes your ideas, Beth.""It's not like we were mean to her, right?" Neon added.

"I don't know, and frankly? I don't care. I said get away from here."

"Perhaps I may have vented at her a few times," Stalene said.

"We're worried about our lives right now, worried that at any moment one of us could die, and you're concerned about dead people?! Nobody gives a fuck about them right now!"

"There is no continuation of life after that! It's just death!"

"But, how were we supposed to know it was her?" Mandy pondered.

"Your move. Better play carefully."

"Those notes..." Clovie wondered out loud.

"Second pawn taken, protect the Queen."

"They all talked about games," Bear observed.

"Who's the pawn now?"

"And a game is what she got," declared Rotten.

"Well, now that the mystery is over, now what?" Neon asked the group.

"What I've been telling you all to do a million times. Relax, take a nap, enjoy death. We're not going anywhere any time soon," Kal said.

Neon turned to face him. "Shut up. I'm still not talking to you."

Kal shrugged. "That's fine."

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" a new voice was heard. Everyone looked around to see if a new person had died, only to realize it was coming from above after it spoke again.

"Who's there?" Alpha indirectly asked.

"'Tis I, your writer, coming to introduce myself," the disembodied voice replied. "How else do you think you got here, hmm?"

"I don't know... magic?" Alpha shrugged his shoulders.

"My dear Alpha, you would have known if it was magic. Not magic, of any sort, I put you here. I control what you, and your little friends, do and say."

"Then I must ask; who are you?"

"Dude, are you deaf? It's clearly Beth," Nova said, poking fun at the boy who couldn't recognize her voice. She gasped for a moment. "That rhymed! Oh, I knew I should've taken up poetry when I was younger.

"She told you to say that, Nova," Mandy rolled her eyes. "Wait, she told me to say that too. Oh, I do not like this."

"Ah, the joys of having my characters explain things for me," Beth sighed, her voice echoing.

"We're not just some characters in a book of yours!" Neon screamed at the voice. "We're actual people, people you killed!"

"No, I'm afraid you're just book characters," Mira said out loud.

"Right now you're only living because I put my pen down to paper," Kalopsia followed.

"But, without me, there is no other life after death. There's just death, and nothing else," Bear concluded.

The others were freaked out by this weird behavior. It was true, everyone's thoughts, actions, and feelings were all dominated by Beth.

"Ok, this isn't funny!" Alpha yelled. "Stop making us say your words for you!"

Beth chuckled as her response.

"So, the camera was a lie," Neon concluded. "The only thing we were talking to was you, and because you control us, you were talking to yourself. What kind of insane person are you?"

"An insane person who just got a little tired of being nice to everyone," she said.

"I... I can't believe we aren't actually existing," said Clovie. "This is just an illusion."

With her pen, Beth wrote that they all were picked up and suspended in the air.

"Not to mention, I can do anything I want with this illusion. Including this," she wrote that they were all thrown down back to the ground, causing a painful impact on all of them. "Wouldn't it be nice if we did this dance forever? It sounds fun, but I have a better idea of what to do with you all. After building all these relationships and working together, it would be delightful to take the one thing that mattered to you in both life and afterlife. I cast upon thee; death." Beth wrote it in her book and it was final.

"Wait, Beth! No!" Rotten begged. Her plea started a widespread panic amongst the group.

"I... feel tingly," Nova declared. She looked down and saw parts of her body disintegrating into the darkness. They were all finally going to see what awaited them.

Screaming continued to occur as one by one, each person in the group was dying. All greeted death in a matter of minutes, panicking to the very end.

Finally, there was nothing left but darkness and nothing to fill it...
