Intermission : five

"I want someone who's my friend to accompany me. Can you help me with that?"

Alpha turned his head to see Bear standing in display. "Oh god, Bear, what did you just do?"

The girl faced him in response. "I did nothing. I just wanted a frie- ohh, was that what I wasn't supposed to do?"

Alpha sighed and hung his head, while shortly after, the team vanished into the darkness.

...

Kalopsia fell to the ground with a thud. He stood up and looked around with a slight confusion. "I'm... alive?" he asked to no one in particular. He examined his body and even went so far as to pinch himself, confirming he was still conscious. "Where am I?"

Kal, the fifth victim, found himself to be lost.

"Oh cool! Look, guys! Kal is here!" Bear exclaimed. She and the others ran up to him.

"Oh. It looks like I was damned to hell after all," Kal said.

"Welcome to my world," said Alpha.

"How are the others?" asked Bear.

"They're scared, Bear," Kal responded. "All of them are scared that a killer is killing everyone and apparantely ending up in some empty afterlife."

"I don't think it's exactly 'a' killer that has a hand in this," said Nova.

"Huh?" he asked.

"There's this... thing that if you introduce yourself and ask for something it sends one of us down to here," Bear answered.

"We also agreed not to ever talk about it, but it seems as though you all are failing miserably," said Alpha.

"Wait, wait, wait," Kal interjected. "No, this has gone too far. You all have been toying around with the concept of our friends dying and it is purely unacceptable."

"When did you become in charge? You just got here!" Rotten accused.

"Because people depend on me to get things done and if it prevents another life from being taken, I shall take initiative and keep you all in line. Now, I suggest we all go exploring to see if we can find anything other than a death machine. Get a move on, everyone," Kal commanded. Everyone did as told without arguing. Occasional mumbles were heard, but Kalopsia failed to care. He purposefully lagged behind the rest of the group, and his serious face turned into an evil smile.

He proceeded to turn sideways so that he was on display for all eyes and ears. "Greetings, I am Kalopsia, current member of the dead. I hear you grant wishes, more specifically, wishes that lead to death. I don't feel it's fair that I had to die at the will of others, so, let's make others suffer while there's a chance."

"Give us all you got."
