There she was just standing in front of Miranda. Something was not right, there wasn't any sparks in her brown eyes like it used to be. The scar that was on the side of her cheeks vanished. She was in her dull uniform as she was when she first joined Millennium.
Is it really the Emily that Miranda once known? Or was her mind playing tricks on her.
Emily titled her head to the side looking at Miranda. "I'm sorry, sir. But why are you in my room?" She obviously know that Miranda is from the higher ups.
Miranda fixed her gaze, blinked a few times before she replied. "Ah, I was..." What was the point of lying to her anyway? "You don't remember me...?"
Emily's mouth when 'oh' thinking that she must be in the wrong room. She bowed apologised on how she intrude turning her heels and leave without answering Miranda's question.
She must have misheard her.
But the question is, how did Emily survive? Miranda quickly come to her senses trying to hard to come back to reality. She spun around trying to catch Emily.
Emily was walking down the hallway, with her dark hair ever so flawlessly waving around in the air as she walks. Her proud medal clinking upon one another that Miranda would never heard that sound ever again. She wasn't alone, someone came out greeting her. It was...
Kaylum...
What?
Miranda's grey blue eyes widened slightly as she saw the scene. The boy's hand were wrapped protectively around Emily's thin waist. Just as they turned around to the corner. Miranda saw something, something that she thought she never saw again. It was Emily's golden smile. That made Miranda's heart swell a little, not out of jealousy but curiosity.
Why is she back?

"there's this thing I want to talk to you about." Miranda happened to be intruding Rip and Zorin's conversation.
Rip raised a curious brow at the commander having to moved closer to Zorin so to make place for Miranda to sit on the leather couch with them.
"Hmm...?" Zorin opened one of her eyes, eyeing her, having her arm around Rip's shoulders . "...Go on." She sat as Miranda seated.
Miranda furrowed her brows, she must have interrupted them and possibly came in the wrong timing. Rip noticed and just smiled patting Miranda's back. "Go on."
"How did... Emily survive?" Each and every word pains, like a thorn sticking into her throat.
Well, the question was odd for Rip and Zorin, causing them to exchange glances before answering.
"She was brought back by Dok." Rip answered
But how?! Bringing someone back from the dead is beyond what the dok has research on.
Did someone in Millennium made a deal with a demon? That was Miranda's first thoughts.
"... dok vanted to surprise you." Zorin then said, with Rip snuggled her closer.
Right. Miranda immediately stood up and smiled. "Danke. " Raising a brow and wondered why are these two so close. Well, it is none of her business anyway. She walked out before they could say something else.
Out in the hall, the corner of her eyes caught Emily walking up towards her. Her body turned, waiting for her to finally stopped in front of her.
That's when Emily finally reached and pull out something from her pocket. A ring. Not just any ring. It was the swastikas ring that Miranda lost for months. Emily has it all along?
"I believe this is yours?" Emily's sweet soft voice spoke again.
There's also another question flowing through her mind. Why did Emily forgotten about her.
Miranda looked down and took the ring from her. "A-ah danke."
Emily nodded. "I'm Lieutenant Emily Rose. Nice to finally meet you, sir." She saluted to her.
Ah, it does brings back the day when Miranda first joined Millennium. Emily walked up to her and shook her hand with the same smile as it is right now.
"I will just call you Emily." Like Miranda always do.
"There you are." Kaylum walked up towards the both of them. "Miss Emily, the Major wish to see you."
Miranda gulped, she knows being call to Major office means one thing...
They are all back to round one.
