Standing up on the very tippy top of the opened sort roof top, she opened up both her arms wide as if she's embracing death. Her belongings were all arranged neatly on the ground, includes her stash of keys to each room, one of  Miranda's medals, her glasses and a note with her last wishes written on it.

"Don't do it!" Miranda yelled, having to run up the stairs as quickly as possible.

She turned to her, and with a little smile of hers, she took a step backwards falling and greeting death at the end.

"No!!!" Miranda sat up of the bed, reaching out her arm. It was just a dream. She turned to see Emily beside her finally sound asleep. She sighed in relief, the dream was so real. Her heart was pounding out of fright, scared that the Emily in real life will leap to her death.

Like that one time, Miranda finally caught Emily in the act.

For a few days, Emily called in sick, having to abandoned most of her work and hide in her old room. Miranda stood out side, wondering what has happened this time. She knocked on the door gently, a small faint 'come in was heard. She walked in. The room was dark, not a single hint of light to be shine onto the room. Finally, she stepped into something.

Clank.

Oh, it's a pair of scissor. What exactly is going on here?

"Emily...?"

The young woman was seen sitting on the carpet floor, clenching onto her left arm.

As Miranda walked closer to her. She saw it.

Blood.

Fresh thick juicy blood flowing down from all the deep cuts that Emily has made.

"What the fuxk?! Emily!" Miranda quickly kneeling in front of her, pulling her arm to see the damages that Emily have done to herself. She cussed,if only she  learnt Zorin's healing spell.

Emily was exhausted. "I want to die." Saying the same thing to Miranda like the time in the throne room. "I can't live like this anymore." Horrifyingly, she was crying and smiling at the same time. She was indeed broken.

"You wait here." Miranda got up and went searching for a first aid kit.

Within minutes, she came back with it.

"What are you? Stupid? You never listen to me. You're just so stubborn." Miranda said, cleaning the wounds with cleaning alcohol. Knowing that this is not the right time to scold her, she might make the situation worst. "The guy is dead. After I learn the resurrection spell, I will bring him alive again and torture him in ways he can't imagine  until you are satisfied."

That's awful but yet in a very sweet way. "...I feel trapped. When they touch me, even if it's a kind and friendly gesture...I can't help but think of that night..."

That would explained why Emily screamed when Avondale placed his hands on her shoulders. "You're safe now, no one can hurt you. They will have to answer through me to get to you." Miranda said proudly having over confident with herself.

"... Sorry..."

It has been over almost half a year, she finally had the courage to apologise for what she did. This time, it is from the bottom of her heart.

"Whatever for...?" Miranda didn't look up, she was focusing on bandaging her arm.

"Everything." This time, there's no need for revenge. She got mad just because of some stupid medals? and got herself in a situation that she did not wish of. But other than that, she was favoured by The Major.

"All finished." Miranda said, putting everything away and sat across the young woman. "...I forgive you. And I want you to forgive yourself to. It isn't your fault. "

As she finished replaying that memory, her eyes were blurry. Tears are threatening to fall. "God dammit, Emily." She murmured cussing, having to rube her temper. One thing for sure is, she can't have that human be in danger, she need her to be alive.

"I order you to stay alive."
