Choji walks into the room with a bowl of ramen, "Who's here-" he stops and inspects Laura. He goes over, carefully grabs her arm and walks, "dinner is over here. At... School I didn't see you with a lunch and Kiba gave you his.."
"No lunch?!" Cries his mother because they followed along with, "great heavens child.." Choza then offers but not one has a choice, "I'll get more food. I assume you're going to be starving."
Laura opened her mouth to object but nothing comes out, instead her stomach rumbles. Choji's parents run to the kitchen. Choji hands Laura a bowl of ramen, "have some ramen." Laura stares into the bowl, quietly "W-Why...?" She looks back at Choji who now has a smile as he says, "food is life. Everyone needs food." She relaxes a bit and starts to eat. Choji digs into the rest of his noodles.
After the parents return and everyone has ate, Laura thanks them and starts to head out but she as soon as she opens the door she jumps as a loud crash of thunder and some lightning strikes. She's pulled back in, Choji only says, "You should stay the night here. Mom and Dad won't mind. Besides, it'll be safer here. Any friend is welcome to stay." Laura doesn't understand why he meant by that, she only shrugs. He probably doesn't know, he's just being a good..... Friend?
~~ next daaaaaay ~~
Laura runs out of Choji's house and to hers to get her stuff, but before Choji said he'll wait outside for her and Shika to show up. Her parents were waiting inside, her Dad holding a kunai. Her Mom blocks the door, "Now Laura sweetie we don't need you running out to that freakish lump of waste." Laura is worried, her Dad was slowly walking towards her, "do they know?"
She shakes her head, "N-No.." Her dad stops, "good and one more thing, you're not leaving today." He throws the kunai at her, but it only grazes her cheek. She tries to run but her Mom stops her and holds her still, "You're not running anywhere." They beat her senseless, not caring the marks will be left.
When they're done, they send her to her own room. Laura hopes they'll let her leave tomorrow..
