The whole way to the airport I was a shaking mess. I couldn't bring myself to say a word to Luca and he seemed to sense this so stayed quiet too. He kept trying to hold my hand but I shook it off. Of all the shit he has done to me: coerced me into being his little information mule, his friend breaking my wrist over some bullshit, kidnapping me, breaking into my house. This has to be the worst.

I feel so pathetic for just letting him take me like this. I'm in too deep now and it feels suffocating. Like the whole car is filled with thick, palpable smoke and its slowly crawling into my mouth, down my throat and in my lungs. I take a deep breath but it makes me choke. Luca, once again tries to hold my hand and I once again shake it off, but this time he is more forceful and grips my fist in his. I don't try and fight it.

We arrive at the airport and Luca bolts out the car slamming the door behind him. Within an instant he is at the passenger side opening the door for me. It's funny how even when he is under stress he still tries to be a gentleman.

"Come on then." He orders swaying his head towards the entrance to the airport.

"I can't do this." I manage to say, the words catching in my throat on the way out.

"Get out the fucking car Izzy, you're going to make a scene."

I shake my head, my eyes filling with tears, dangerously close to spilling out.

"Say no to me and you will regret it." Luca growls.

I let the tears fall down my cheeks, put my head down and solemnly get out the car.

"Good girl." He mumbles and takes me forcibly by the wrist. Pulling my suitcase with his free hand.

We make it through check-in, security and head towards the terminals before he says another word to me: "Our flight is in 15 minutes."

I nod and join the queue of people waiting to board the plane.

"No need to look so miserable, people will think you're being trafficked or something." Luca scoffs, finally releasing my wrist.

"Funny that. How do I know I'm not?" I scowl, neither of us meeting eyes.

"What the fuck is that supposed to mean!" He says through gritted teeth.

I say nothing and follow the queue, pushing in front of Luca so that I don't have to look at him. I can still feel his eyes burning into the back of my head like red-hot lasers. He won't let me get away easily.

We board the plane in a tense silence. Luca turns to me as if to say something and then looks straight forward. I can't stand this awful silent hatred so I put my AirPods in and do my best to turn away from him for a little while.

I hear muffled speaking but don't bother to look where it's coming from. I'm too angry right now. The speaking becomes louder until Luca rips the AirPod out of my ear.

I finally meet his eyes for the first time in about an hour. The pools of rich honey I saw this morning have been taken over by black onyx.

"I said we're about to land. Why are you being so fucking difficult? You could have said no you know?" He spits out in a venomous voice.

"How could I?" I say slightly too loudly and see the couple in front of us turn around. "You practically dragged me out the house by my hair." I state in a more hushed tone.

"So what? I wanted you to come with me. If I'd known you were gonna be so moody about it I would've just left you there." He rasps.

"Oh well, thanks. I hope me being here is worth the trouble." I roll my eyes and put my AirPods back in. The couple in front of us let out a stifled giggle.

"And what are you fucking laughing at." Luca shouts over the seat, causing practically everyone on the plane to turn around to us.

I cover my face with my hand and try and take my mind off what is happening right now. He has absolutely no shame.

"Oi, Luca! Keep your voice down mate." A booming voice shouts from behind us and we both turn around.

Excellent. Sebastian.

"I told you to meet us at the airport not lurk behind us like some fucking stalker." Luca spits.

"Sir, please can you keep your voice down..." A flight attendant comes up to us but stops in her tracks, realising who she is talking to.

"What was that, sweetheart?" Luca chuckles with a blank expression.

"Nothing, I hope you enjoy St Petersburg!" Her voice cracks and she disappears down the aisle.

"This has been very entertaining I must say." Sebastian is up from his seat now. "It's like watching big brother or something but in real life." He laughs, I can smell alcohol on his breath.

"Yeah, yeah, sit down." He scoffs, grumpily, crossing his arms and not saying another word.

We finally land and make it through the airport in Russia. We don't go through customs or anything thanks to Luca's reputation here. And I thought people were scared of him in the UK, but not like this. Everyone in his path keeps their head down and rushes out his way like his is royalty. I'm dragged behind him like some extra baggage and I see people raise their heads to give me a good look.

Outside, there is a posh looking car waiting for us with a driver. Luca opens the door for me but doesn't look at me whilst he is having a hushed conversation with Sebastian. Business matters I suppose.

Neither of them pay me any attention in the car. They carry on with their secret conversation which seems to be in a different language. We pull into a dark track which seems to be miles long and this is where their conversation stops. I look outside to see nothing but giant trees stretching over us like skyscrapers.

I don't like it. It feels dangerous. I let out a stifled breath trying to calm myself, knowing this is just the start.
