Adventure in the Land of Illusions

Chapter 4

It was morning as you walked out of your room that Kaguya let you stayed in for the night. You looked down the empty hall as no one was in sight. You could hear the faint sound of someone working and followed the noise. You walked out into the main room to see Eirin working on what you could guess was medicine.

"Good morning Eirin." You greeted as she paused her work to look up at you. 

"Good morning to you as well." She greeted before going back to her work. "If you are looking for Reisen, she is in the room to the left. She went to prepare for your two's testing." She said as you thanked her then walking into the room she mentioned. Opening the door it was a wide-open room with the only thing inside being an empty table and a couple of chairs.

"Reisen? Where are you?" You asked, not seeing her in the room. Soon the sound of footsteps could be heard approaching from the other side of the room. "Is that you Reisen?"

"Ah, (Y/N). Can you get the door for me?" Reisen's voice asked from behind the door. You opened the door for her. She walked in with two boxes in her hands. You took one as the two of you placed them on the table. "Thank you very much."

"No problem, I take it these are what I'm testing for today?" You asked while opening the box you were carrying. Inside was a variety of different medicines that Reisen and been developing.

"That's right, this is some of the medicines that I have been making for a while now. Some are muscle relaxers while others are a cure to things like the flu." She said while bringing out a couple of of the medications.

"So those are the ones I'm going to be trying?" You asked while Reisen put the ones she was holding on the table.

"Well, this is just the start, so I hope you're ready." Reisen said as she walked over to the boxes the two of you had brought in before pulling out several more. You nodded your head as the two of you started testing.

"Effect is Temporary blindness." Reisen said as you walked into a wall.

"Hmm, this is another side effect I didn't see coming." Reisen said looking at you. You were looking back as your skin was a vibrant orange. 

"HeyReisen!HowlongisthiseffectgoingtolastIdon'twantokeeptalkingsofast.AlsoIthinkmyheartisgoingtoexploadanymomentnow!" You spoke the words quickly as Reisen wrote notes on her clipboard.

"Drug to increase improve one's hearing is unsuccessful, lower dosage." Reisen writes down on the clipboard.

"I can hear the grass moving." You said as every noise in a ten-mile radius assaulted your ears.

"Laxadent seems to be ineffective," Reisen said before you rushed out of the room. "Nevermind." Reisen said while scratching out what she just wrote.

"Accelerated hair growth huh?" Reisen asked while looking at you as your hair reached about your lower back and was still growing. "Stand still, I'll take care of it." She said as she pulled out scissors.

After several experiments later you were sitting in a chair as Reisen looked at her paper while holding another pill. "Alright, this should be the last one for now. Are you ready?" She asked you as you nodded. She haded you the pill.

"Remind me what this one was supposed to be again?" You asked looking at it.

"It's supposed to be a muscle relaxant." She said waiting for you to take it. You swallowed the pill and stood still, waiting for it to take effect.

After a couple more minutes, nothing was happening. "Reisen, I think this one was a bu-" You didn't finish as your legs gave out and you landed face-first on the floor.
