Chapter 3 Lexi

"Lets play a game!" I hear someone call out from behind me.

"pool?"

"truth and dare"

"Spin the bottle" I turn to stare at the girl who has come up beside me. I look her over, she looks a bit stuck up to me, with her hair pulled up in a tight bun and with enough makeup on to make her face look flawless.

Shane grabs my arm "Yeah " he agrees for both of us.

I let him lead me over where people are already forming a circle on the floor.

I'm not going to lie, it seems silly to be playing spin the bottle, what with being high school seniors and all. But I take a seat on the floor next to Shane and flawless face girl who seems to be staring at me really hard, I give her a what the fuck look and she turns away.

god girls are so prissy!

"I'll start!" says flawless face girl, I am yet to catch her name and in all honesty am not sure if a name would make me feel like she was anymore human then I do right this moment.

I watch as she skulls the last of her drink and sets it on the floor in front of herself. She spins it, her eyes eagerly on Shanes brother across from me.

I look at Shanes brother, Seth I believe he name is. He is hot I will give him that, in that bad boy kind of way. He has a face that could easily do modelling, if it weren't for the tattoos that I can see covering his well muscled body.

I notice Seth watching me watch him and he gives me a smirk, I roll my eyes just in time to see the bottle land on the guy next to Seth, Jye I think but I wasn't really paying attention as I was introduced to everyone.

I hear flawless face girl groan beside me, probably not loud enough for others to hear but I heard it, I'm not sure why but I raise my eyebrows at her questioningly, was it not her idea to play this ridiculous game.

Jye stands up and walks around the group to come to her I watch her stand up and peck him on the cheek.

"No way Jane" someone calls her out, " full mouth!"

Jane I cant help thinking to myself, that boring name seems to suit her and full made up face.

Soon enough everyone is chanting for them to kiss properly, even Shane beside me is getting into it.

Jane starts to get flustered but she pecks him on the lips and sits down.

I don't know what her problem is Jye is pretty hot, I mean if your into the bad boy meets preppy look.

Next it seems it is my turn, I spin the bottle hoping it would land on Shane so I didn't really have participate.

I watch torturously as the bottle begins to slow down. Finally it comes to rest on Seth. I look at Shane who looks slightly uncomfortable.

"Um, I don't think this is a good idea" I whisper to Shane.

He shakes his head at me, "its just a game Lex"

I watch Seth look at Shane then at me, I shrug and crawl over to him and kneel in front of him, before I can think to much about it I lean over and lay my lips against his warm ones.....

I instantly feel the tingling feeling down below, and before I know it Seth has pulled away from and looking away like it was the worst thing that has ever happened to him.

Shocked I pull back and push myself up to stand, I turn around and head back to sit next to Shane who looks pleased with his brothers rejection of me.

Next it is Shanes go he spins the bottle and it lands on a girl I later learned is Alison, I felt nothing as i watched Shane quickly kiss her, not even jealousy which I try not to read to much into.

The game continues on, but I can't stop thinking about how warm and soft Seth's kiss was before he so abruptly pulled away. I am not sure why his rejection hurts, but it does and I don't like it not one bit.

I nudge Shane and tell him I'm going to get a drink, he nods clearly enjoying the stupid game.

I get up and wander upstairs where the party seems to be in full swing, people had moved the lounge off to the wall and freed the lounge room up for dancing. I watch the many people swaying and enjoying themselves drinking and dancing

I make my way down the hall to the kitchen where I find Sophia sitting on the bench with Joel between her legs.

Her face lights up when she sees me, I can feel my own smile crossing my face.

"Glad you could make it" I say going toward the sink and grabbing a glass from the bench beside it and filling it with water from the tap.

Sophia Laughs " People cant miss me if I show on time"

I laugh with her, Sophia has always had this weird belief that if she shows to a party early or on time it in some way makes her less memorable.

I can tell by the look Joel has on his face that he doesn't in any way believe that bullshit. But he pulls her hair until their lips meet and I turn away and notice Seth standing in the doorway to the kitchen watching me with hooded eyes.

"Uh hey?" I question not sure how to go about the situation downstairs.

Seth blinks a few times before responding, "Hey, I thought you had left"

I bite my lip, not sure why his words would make me feel a little hurt, like he didn't want me here.

I shake my head not trusting myself to respond.

"Your staying here tonight aren't you?" Sophia pipes up plastering on her mega watt smile staring over at Seth.

I glare at her she knows damn well I am staying here tonight.

Confusion crosses Seth's features briefly before he nods and turns around and leaves the room as quickly as he came in.

Sophia looks at me with raised eyebrows a questioning look crossing her pretty face.

I shrug, not even sure how to answer her question.

She pushes Joel away and shoos him out of the kitchen before climbing down and coming over to me she throws her arm across my shoulders.

"Want to tell me what that was about?"

I laugh only She could pick up on my mood changes, have I told you how much I love this girl!

She guides me over to the table where we both take a seat.

Before I can even start someone comes rushing down the hall screaming fight!
