Never The Same

Chapter 5 Lexi

Shane finally catches up to me in the kitchen, as I am gathering my belongings from Sophia.

"Lexi, come on you can't be mad over such a little fight" Shane pleads with me.

I spin around and look him dead in the eye.

"Your fighting over a stupid game! A game let me remind you I didn't want to play"

"I... I " Shane stutters at me trying to come up with a reasonable excuse for his actions.

I shake my head " Shane you do not see me getting bent out of shape over the girl you kissed, it was a game. get over it. I didn't want to kiss your brother you gave the okay!"

Shane starts nodding vigorously " I know, I know, I just wasn't expecting to feel like this"

I watch Sophia climb down off the bench, Joel standing at her side.

"Lex? " Sophia gently touches my shoulder, I hadn't noticed till just then that my eyes had started leaking.

I wipe the tears with the back of my hand and scramble out of the kitchen heading for the front door, pushing a few people as I go. I didn't stop to people calling my name I just kept going down the street.

I didn't know where I was going or what I was doing, I just knew I needed to get out of there before I lost it. The events of last night were resurfacing, I pushed myself to run faster trying to not remember.

before I knew it I had made it to a clearing stopping to catch my breath a bent over the tears now streaming down my face, I didn't even attempt to stop them. I gingerly straighten up and walk over to the wooden logs that were in place to show people there was a cliff there and take a seat.

I don't know how long I had been sitting there before a pair of headlights pull up behind me. I don't turn around, the way I was feeling I didn't think I'd have much fight in me if I were to get attacked. I the engine turn off and a car door open and close.

I still don't turn around instead I continue to look out over the beautiful city with all its lights gleaming in the night air.

I feel someone sit on the log next to me.

"Thought I'd find you here" I hear him say.

I have to admit I wasn't expecting it to be Seth that found me, Sophia maybe or even Shane but not Seth. I feel my heart rate pick up a bit.

"You okay?" He asks looking out at the view.

"I'm fine " I don't look at him, " Sorry about this, I didn't mean to go all drama queen on you all".

Seth laughs this beautiful sounding laugh that had me feeling a little weak at the knees.

What am I doing I ask myself, this is Shanes brother!

"Drama Queen?" I turn to look at him, I didn't realise he had sat down so close until my eyes collided with his and in the moonlight it made his eyes seem grey and mysterious.

I nod my mouth suddenly dry I try to lick my lips. I watch his eyes follow as my tongue glids along my lips. I could feel my heart rate accelerate.

Before I could think to much into Seth breaks his eyes away and look out across the city slowly running a hand through his hair which honestly didn't help my already over sensitive body.

"How did you find me?" I ask to distract myself from my emotions. I wasn't sure what was happening. I had never felt this way around Shane and honestly it was a little scary how my body was reacting to Seth being in such close proximity.

Seth looks back over at me a slow smile crossing his handsome face. " You got everyone out looking for you".

I grimace a look of worry coming over my face " I am so sorry" I drop my face into my hands.

I feel Seth's big hands gently take my hands in his forcing me to look up into his memorising eyes.

"Don't be" I feel his finger tips slowly making circles on my hands absently. "You seemed pretty stressed when you ran out".

I break eye contact and look down, I didn't want to think anymore about last night. without thinking about it I looked up and pressed my lips hard against Seths. Seth seemed taken aback for a moment but that didn't last long soon I felt his lips start to move underneath mine. I felt the fire start in my body as his hands cupped my face. I felt alive as our lips moved in sync with each other, I let my lips part allowing his tongue to gently caress my own.

My hands find his hard chest as I press myself closer. Seth lays back on the log bringing me down on him without once breaking the kiss.

After a little while I lift my head and stare down at this gorgeous man and bite my lip.

"Keep biting your lip and we will be going back for round two" he tells me a slow smile spreading across his face.

I feel a buzzing against my leg making me jump up.

"Sorry my phone" Seth laughs as he sits up and takes it from his pocket.

I watch as a dark look comes across his face.

I know without him saying it that it was Shane and I instantly feel guilty, what was I doing, Seth was Shanes brother and I had been making out with him running my hands all over him. Oh god what is wrong with me.

Seth answers it snapping a what out as he watches my face, all the emotions flowing over me.

"Yeah I found her, I'm bringing her back now" he hangs up and looks at me before walking towards the car just expecting me to follow.
