Peters POV

"Good morning, kid." Natasha, the Russian spy or something says to me as I enter the kitchen. I mumble in reply, grabbing food out of the fridge.

"Someone not get enough sleep?" She giggles. I turn around and roll my eyes. She puts her hands up in defense, still smiling.

"Is something wrong?" I pull out a yogurt cup and grab a metal spoon from a drawer. I don't respond for a minute, and she doesn't say anything.

"Tony took my phone away." She chuckled.

"Why? You call him something you aren't supposed to? Try to sneak out?" She took a sip of her orange juice.

"No! Apparently being up until 2:30 is bad. I mean, May wouldn't care if I went to bed at 8 or 4 in the morning."

"Well," she sighs, "from what I hear, May isn't here anymore. You gotta listen to Tony, kid." I nod, but I'm not done talking.

"Okay, but I know I was disobeying him, I'm not saying that it was wrong. He was... it doesn't matter."

"Hey, if it's bothering you, you can talk to me. What happened?" I sit down on a stool opposite of her.

"He was drunk. He yelled at me and didn't seem to care about me. Just bursted in and screamed at me. But I'm used to it, you know. Mays boyfriend wasn't that good of a guy. Always smelled like scotch and would sometimes hit May. But that's- where are you going?" Natasha got up and walked away, stomping her feet. She didn't respond, and I was left alone in the kitchen.

Natasha's POV

"He was drunk. He yelled at me and didn't seem to care about me. Just bursted in and screamed at me-" Peter rambled on. I cannot believe Tony right now. I stomp out of the room without thinking about Peter and go straight to his lab.

I pound on the glass door, until FRIDAY overrides any command by Tony and opens to door.

"Hey Nat. Could you, quiet down, I got a crazy headache right now." He rubs his forehead. Normally I'd get him an ibuprofen and care about him, but right now there's nothing about him I could care about.

"What is wrong with you?" I shout. He seems a little startled, but let him be scared.

"What are you talking about. I know I drank a little last night, did I fly my suit and do something dumb?" He giggled a little, but not for long.

"You yelled at your kid for staying a few hours up past his bedtime while drunk. Do you realize how terrifying that could have been for him?" His face went pale. I rolled my eyes and walked out.

"Oh, apologize to the kid. Don't expect forgiveness." I say before leaving. I hear a loud crash but continue walking away.

Tonys POV

I drop a part of my suit onto the ground. I cannot believe myself. I know I screwed up many times before, but never something like this before. I sob quietly into the sleeve of my shirt until I hear another knock on my door.

"Tony?" It was Rhodey.

"What do you want?" I wiped my face and he walked towards me.

"What happened?" He sits down on a stool across from me.

" I got drunk and lashed out on someone."

"Who? I mean, I think you have lashed out on literally everyone here." He chuckles a little.

"You remember that kid last night who grabbed a plate of food and left right away? Was only downstairs for like 10 minutes?" He nodded.

"Isn't he a new intern- oh my god Tony." I sighed and put his face in his hand.

"He's more than just an intern." I explain Peters whole situation to him. Every word I say, he seems more and more disappointed.

"Is he your kid?" He asked me, as I wipe another tear that had fallen.

"No. But the police letting him stay here, but I don't think they will anymore. God, I'm going to be such a terrible father. Why did I think I could do this." Rhodey pulls me in for a hug, which is comforting. After he lets go, he says.

"You need to talk to the kid. Let him know you're sorry." I nod.

"He wont forgive me."

"You can't expect forgiveness right away. And you can't make him forgive you. Talk to him." He pats my shoulders and walks out of my lab, leaving me by myself.

Peters POV

Over the next few hours, I stay in the kitchen and common room. Almost every Avenger walks through and talks to me. I explain my situation and all they say is sorry, which got annoying.

My favorite person to meet was Ant-man. He's very smiley and was excited when I told him my name was Spiderman.

"Insect buddies!" He laughed, which caused me to giggle. He must have kids, he'd be the best dad. Unfortunately he had to leave to go back to San Francisco.

"I promise I'll be back, Spidey." He winked as he entered the elevator and waved goodbye. I smiled and felt pure happiness for once. Like the lantern inside of me was lit with a new flame and glowed, giving light to all.

But the fire went out, and the glow stopped when Tony walked down the stairs. I rolled my eyes and stared on the blank wall. He just walked passed me, into the kitchen and started making food.

He doesn't say anything for the next fifteen minutes. Is he waiting for me to talk? Or is he finding a way to apologize for something unforgivable.

"Can we talk?" He finally asks as he sits down on a recliner near the couch I am on. I roll my eyes and look away.

"I am sorry," he starts, "I don't know why I did what I did. I was drunk, not in the right mind."

"That doesn't excuse you for your actions." I snap at him.

"I know, I know. You know I didn't mean whatever I said to you." I roll my eyes once more. I can't even look at him.

"You don't even remember what you did. Why do you care?" I can feel the lantern inside of me be lit with a raging fire. Strong enough to burn the whole village down. Strong enough to take over.

"Can you tell me what happened?" He asks.

"It doesn't matter. Leave me alone." I get up, but I hear Tony get up too. He grabs my arm, but I pull away quickly.

"Please." I can tell he's trying to hold in his tears, but so am I.

"Stay away from me." I run away, to my room. My whole throat burns from holding in my tears. Once I reach my room I sob into my arm, and then into my blanket. Every time I think about the situation I start to cry, but stop myself. I can't cry. I can't be weak.
