Areum was anxious as she entangled her fingers
together while walking to the nearest cafe.
Dates were not her usual thing, she was used to
being cuddled up in her blanket with a warm mug
between her palms as she binged-watched her
favorite dramas.
Now she will have a warm drink between her hands while getting to know the kind cute boy from the beauty supply; Yeosang.
"Why would he want a coffee date with me?" She
wondered, how would someone who has seen her
multiple times in her worst appearance still want to
get to know her?
In Areum's opinion her skin has held her back from
many things and ever since puberty pleasant male
attention has be one of those things.
The bottom of her brown Mary-Janes skidded
across the concrete of the sidewalk.
Her tan dress flowed ever so slightly from the cool
breeze.
She was a few more strides from the cafe "I don't know if I can do this" thought to herself.
She took a step backwards ready to turn herself
around. Thinking that maybe she'll tell Yeosang
that something came up.
That it was a family member that needed her so she could not attend the coffee date, that seems
reasonable right?
Taking another step back she notices a figure sitting in a booth next to the window. Looking down at his hands as his brown hair slightly covered his forehead.
She takes a deep breath as a few strides led her to the entrance of the cafe. The aroma of fresh coffee surrounding her being as she stepped inside.
"Areum?" She hears as she turns her head over her right shoulder seeing a smiling Yeosang.
