This chapter is dedicated to my little sister ❤️

"Why do you think he lied that his the one that killed Jim?"

Asked the shadowy figure seated across from the other person in the room.

"I don't know...it could mean he is trying to figure out who killed him too. He mustn't know we did it. Let's let him think that he is still in charge of things around."

The room fell silent. Both individuals deep in thought. Suddenly, the door burst open and a female came walking in.
Plopping on the chair next to one of the individuals, she heaves dramatically and speaks.

"Samantha still hasn't woken up and it's been 3 weeks since the accident.." her voice trails off while her mind wanders off to negative thoughts. What if she dies in that coma?

"She won't die if that's what you're thinking."

The individual seated across them stands up to pour herself a drink.

Samantha can't die. We need her for this. She's our only way to Malakai's fortune.
One of the others speaks and cuts off the persons train of thought.

"Yeah, she's too strong to die now. She went through that first damn accident fine. She has to make it. Where did you say Malakai was keeping her?"

"In his home, where he can properly monitor her recovery."

"What state is she in?"

"She's forced herself into a comatose state. The doctor we hired as an eye for us in the house says she has put herself in some traumatic mind set. She keeps on having some nightmares that she can't seem to shake off."

"I see...I wonder what May have triggered her this time. Obviously the accident with Malakai contributed but there must have been something said or someone she saw from her past that contributed to this."

"How do you know this.."

"Oh Mira..you only knew her for a few months but I have known Samantha her whole life. I raised her. Of course I would know."

Mira rolls her eyes at Lady May. Her gaze turns to Diana seated next to her. Diana's face is vacant of any emotion. Sighing,Mira leans back.

She couldn't wait to get her cut of the deal. Working with these two was starting to get boring and her attention span could only be for so long.

I wonder why though.. Lady May hates the child she raised. What's led her to getting here?
She's very tight lipped about everything going on. While on the other hand me and Diana are to say everything and to follow instructions without question.

Jim would still be alive if he followed the instructions he was given in that letter. But he got a heart and decided to tell Samantha what was going on.
She was already alert after he told her not to trust anyone.

That night,I followed him out of the building and killed him.

"Why didn't you save me Sammy?" A mangled, rotting Gabby says to me. Her pace slow as she approaches me, getting close but never taking a hold of me.
I guess this hell that feels permanent is my punishment for surviving both accidents.

Looking around I am back at the accident scene.. the one that Gabby died in. Except this time, they are not dead. The are alive but look and smell dead. They look the same as I remember them except alive and definitely not well.
Constantly, they ask me why I didn't save them. Every time they do...I have no answer.
