"How about this dress? It's so cute! Come on,try it on!" Harriett spoke in her thick accent. I giggled at her enthusiasm. We've been out shopping since 10a.m and the time is currently 2:30p.m,I had breakfast with Kai and left him with Christoph.
To be honest,I feel a tad bit exhausted and not as enthusiastic. But I don't want to be a Debby Downer,so with a frustrated sigh,I pick up the dress and go try it on.

A few minutes later,I leave the dressing room.

"How do I look?" I ask my shopping partner while feeling the beautiful silky material of the blue dress. I like how it hugs my curves.looking at my reflection,I turn this way and that way to get a good look at the dress.

Harriett gasps a little, although a bit dramatically and speaks.

"You look gorgeous!"

I have a feeling if I wore a trash bag she'd say the same thing.
Ugh..I just have a bit of this nagging feeling about her. I don't know why,I can't put my finger on it but I feel like I should be aware of her now.
I know I liked her when I first saw her but I don't know..I just have a nagging feeling.
Plus she's been texting someone literally every 30minutes.

"Thank you. I'll get it."

"You definitely should,am sure Malakai will love how it looks on you too."

I say nothing but send a smile her direction.

After purchasing the dress,we head out and I feel a bit thirsty.

"Let's go check out that little cafe. Am so thirsty."

"Sure."

"Is your beer cold enough man?"
I ask Christoph while settling on the chairs facing the beach.

"Yeah,thanks."

A thick silence ensues,I can feel that Christoph wants to say something but he's holding back.
Earlier, before she left,Sam told me about her worries. I think it might be true...I called one of my I.T guys to do a background check on them but they haven't gotten back to me.

Suddenly,I hear Christoph sigh and shortly,he speaks.

"Look man..I really am sorry."

I turn to look at him,a bit too late and the next thing I feel is a sharp pang going through my head. The bastard hit me!
I try to stand but lose my balance when he upper cuts me. Eventually,I blank out.

"So how long have you and Kai been together?"
Harriett asks after a long sip of her iced tea.

"Well..I've known him for a few months but as far as being 'together, together' I'd say..a couple of days."

"Ohh.." she trails while stirring her ice with her straw.

"...Do you love him?"

At this,I smile. "Yes..yes I do."

"How much do you love him?"

A weary feeling settles within me and I face her. The expression on her face is so serious and I realize that she asked the question with evil intent.

"Do you want to see him...safe?"

I abruptly stand up,flashes of anger coursing through me.

"What have you done to him?!"

She slowly stands up,a smug smirk creeping up her face. Suddenly,the face I thought was beautiful looks as hideous as a witch's own.

"Nothing..yet."

"What.have.you.done.to.him."

I repeat slower and calmer,when deep down I feel anything but that. She foolishly let's out a laugh. By the time am done with this bitch,I start to jump at her but she springs back while holding up her phone at me. A video playing on it.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! If you want to see lover boy alive and well,you've got to do what we ask..."

"....if you touch me,your man won't look this good by the time you get to him."

She carelessly drops the phone on the table and gestures for me to look at it. I do and I watch it,in the video is Kai seated on some chair in our villa but his tied up and drugged up. His eyes are shut but he keeps on groaning.

"I swear if you hurt him, I'll.."

"You won't do anything! And if you follow our instructions,no one's going to get hurt."

"What do you want?!" I ask angrily.

"Simple..we want Kai's company."
