Two gunshots rung out, disturbing the quiet peace of the night.
May stood at the foot of the freshly dug ditch as she watched Diana and Mira take there last breaths. A sick satisfaction coming over her. Not wanting to waste anymore time or risk getting caught, she immediately set out to covering the ditch, glancing around the woods every so often. An hour later she was done and was headed home for a long over due flute of wine. Finally, she could get her wealth without ever having to share it with anyone. There was no way she was going to let those two idiots enjoy the fruits of her labor. Not after investing so much money in that little reject__Samantha.
Sure she raised her,her as well as some other orphaned kids that she benefited from by randomly selling them out to people she knew nothing about. Also, benefiting from the states money that was given to her for being a "good" foster mum.
But for some reason, that little reject never got adopted neither did the state ever acknowledge her, therefore she earned no money from having her.At the thought,May tightens her fingers around the wheel, her face contorting to one of anger.
Forced into the situation, she begun investing money into the reject but not without making her a deal________________________
"You owe me."
The simple words resonated deeply within Samantha, she knew this day would come.
Gently putting her fork down on the plate, she gives her attention to Lady May. Waiting patiently for the woman to decide her fate."I'll take you to the university I teach at and you will learn there but you will owe me."
The intensity of Lady Mays hateful gaze forces Sammy's own kind one to the top of Lady Mays head. Eventually, she asks the question.
"What do I owe you?"
A tense quiet ensues. Eventually Lady May breaks it.
"30 million dollars."
Samantha nearly falls of her chair from the shock.
"What?!! How do you expect me to gather so much!!" Samantha splutters out.
Before she says more, she's slapped hard across her face.
"I should be charging more!!! Do you know how much I put into you?!"
Tears begin to drop from Sammy's eyes while May continues with her rant.
"No one wants you! Your own parents never wanted you! Not even foster parents! And I took your fat ass in with your fat ass appetite and your fat ass clothes and every disgusting thing about you!! You owe me!!!"

"Thank you, dinner out was lovely. I really needed the breather."
I say as I walk hand in hand up the Walk way of Kai's house. I never really thought his house would be this big and immaculate. Am honestly impressed. For a young man,he really has racked up his achievements."You are welcome." He says while his thumb rubs soft circles in my palm. The feeling is soothing. I like it alot.
I look up to him and smile kindly. I really am thankful. His not one to be talkative but he carried most of the conversation back at the restaurant. I tried to be open,I really did but for some reason,I couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. It really set me off for the rest of the night.
Sighing,I figure I should apologize for being such a Debby Downer. Stopping at the entrance of the door,I turn to him and hold his other hand. He momentarily looks stunned by my actions before his expression sets into one of contentment.
"Am sorry for not being good company tonight."
Two little commas form between his forehead and I feel the urge to reach out and smoothen the lines.
"I should be the one to apologise..I know why you were in that mood."
This time,am the one furrowing my eyebrows. He does?
"You do?"
"Yeah..it's because I asked you about May and what kind of relationship you two share."
What? No.
"Oh that's not.."
"Don't say it. You don't have to say anything. I understand you don't want to talk about your past and I will respect that."
This must have been on his mind the whole time,I didn't miss the nervous and worried glances he kept on throwing at me. So I let him continue to speak his heart out.
"Am not going to force you into anything and I am ready to be patient with you."
My heart jumps out at that last statement. He wants more from me..
"Thank you." I say truthfully. I know it's a lame response to someone who just poured out his heart. But I've never experienced..love.
"Hey.." he says as he releases one of his hands from my own, gently raising my head to face him.
"...don't feel sad. Just be happy."
"Yes..yes you are right."
I say trying to sound cheerful. He doesn't believe me,I can see it in his eyes but he goes with it anyway. His mouth breaks out into a lazy grin."You know..we didn't have desert after dinner."
I don't know why but my mind wanders to the image of a very naked Kai emerging from the bathroom.
Slightly shaking my head from the thoughts i say.."I saw some ice cream in the freezer. I'd love some of that."

"Good night Sammy."
Kai says almost quietly as he waits expectantly at my bedroom door. He walked me here. This is the part I kiss him right?
Gathering up the courage,I take action.
"Good night to you too Kai." And with that....I close the door.
What? His not getting it that easily. His got to work for it
I giddily walk to the bathroom feeling silly. An hour later am laying in bed enjoying the happy feeling. The delicious dinner and the ice cream and a very charming man. Who else wouldn't be happy?
A ping from my phone disturbs my little bubble. Reaching out,I read the message that I just received.
"YOU OWE ME."
