"Four minutes." Allie and her father stood in the balcony, secluded from the rest of the party, even though Asher was very wary of letting her go with her father alone.
With her iPhone out of her purse and now on her pocket, the timer was ticking. "What the hell could you possibly say to me that will make me not hate your cheating ass."
The blonde rested on the ledge of the balcony, a good three feet away from her father and a permanent scowl was rested on her face.
"Your mother was always gone. I got...lonely."
Allie rolled her eyes. "You got lonely. That's your pathetic excuse?"
"Alexa, it's not my fault. I fell in love. And unfortunately it was someone that wasn't your mother."
"Oh really? And what time was that? The very first or just recently when you were caught?"
Charles face tightened. "Your mother told you about the other times?"
"Yeah she told me. Because she's a great mother. And yes she's gone all the time, but you don't see me running around calling other people mom. Dad you're sick. You're an awful person."
"Alexa, I know I made mistakes."
"Many." Allie echoed. She took a glance at the clock and it just ticked to three. "Three minutes."
"Okay many mistakes. But I still love you and your mother. I never will stop fighting for both of you." Charles pleaded.
"What about the many women that you fell in love with? What happened to them?"
"It-It wasn't mean to be, I guess. Maybe I should have learned my lesson. But I didn't. And for that I'm sorry."
"Mom was stupid for letting you back into our lives over and over again. Two minutes."
"Alexa, you have to know I still love you and your mother. More than I could ever imagine. I just want you to forgive me. I made mistakes, but doesn't everybody?"
"Dad you don't get it! My mom was sobbing in my arms just hours before I got here because of you! You don't deserve a second chance with me unless you make it up to her."
Charles frowned. He clearly didn't get what he wanted, which was for Allie to side with him. "And how am I going to do that?"
"I don't know. She's your wife. Figure it out."
With a minute still left on her clock, Allie turned it off and walked away. Her father couldn't do anything to earn her trust back, especially not after how much he had hurt her mom.
Almost immediately when she walked into the dining hall, she was bombarded by Layla and Asher.
"You didn't forgive him, right?" Layla asked her best friend. She knew how tired Allie was with her father, she was just worried about her.
"Obviously not." Allie sunk into Asher's arms, he who had wrapped around her torso and put his chin on her shoulder.
"Good. He doesn't deserve you." Asher replied. "Or your mom."
"Thanks, guys." Allie smiled. One thing she liked about her friends were that they always sided with her. It didn't matter who was wrong or right. They'd support her.
"Ooh hors d'oeuvres!" Layla spotted a server holding little deviled eggs on a golden tray. "I'll be back."
"Girl loves her deviled eggs." Allie giggled as she twirled around to face Asher. "God I'm so glad I have you guys in my life. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you guys by my side."
