"Three more sets? You have got to be kidding me." Allie groaned as she rolled off of her yoga mat and into a sweating heap onto the sofa. Olivia and Layla had dropped by earlier, and they were all completely bored out of their minds. So, Olivia suggested the idea of working out.

And when the YouTube workout instructor said three more sets of thirty pushups, Allie decided it was time for her to clock out. They had been following the instructor for at least twenty minutes now and Olivia and Layla weren't sweating. It was insane.

Working out was not for her.

"Are you giving up?" Olivia's beautiful hair was pulled into a messy bun as she watched Allie dramatically slide onto the floor, breathing heavily as if she'd just run a marathon.

"Yeah. You two continue. I'm rooting for you!" She sighed in between breaths.

Layla let out a little cheer as she unpaused the video and easily did the remainder of the pushups along with Olivia.

Once she stopped sweating as much, Allie grabbed for her phone to order something from DoorDash. She'd skipped breakfast as her mother had burned a batch of waffles and was too lazy to make another. Plus, all this movement made her hungry.

Instead of going on the app, a notification came up at the top of her phone. 1 new text message from Asher. She swiped it away, just like the 12 other text messages, and 4 missed calls he'd sent her all this week.

It's not like she was angry at Asher for bringing up her father. Well, she was at first. But, she just didn't like the way he had snapped on her when she was trying to do him a favor. He was being mean. And he was never like that towards her.

So, the only logical explanation to show how her feelings were hurt was to ignore him and leave him on delivered.

"Are y'all hungry?" Allie hummed as she finally decided on getting pizza for lunch. "I'm ordering pizza."

Coincidentally, the workout video ended there. Layla and Olivia agreed with the food choice both after chugging down the rest of the water in their water bottles.

So, Allie ordered a large cheese pizza to share.

Then, she got yet another text message from Asher. Just like the others, she swiped them away. "Someone help. Asher won't stop texting me, I'm convinced he's obsessed."

"He's your boyfriend, Allie," Layla responded, as she was now scrolling on her phone. "I'm pretty sure he just wants to talk."

"You have been ignoring him for a week now. If I were him, I would be pretty desperate." Olivia added.

"He should be desperate. He's an asshole."

"At least he's an asshole who's trying to apologize," Olivia responded with a shrug. "Maybe you should let him."

Was she being unfair? Asher probably just wanted to apologize for lashing out at her. It had been long enough since she'd talked to him. Plus, it was hard avoiding him at school when they had the majority of their classes together.

"So, should I text him back?" Allie bit her lip.

"No." Both Layla and Olivia immediately chorused.

"No?"

"If he hurt your feelings, then he needs to apologize face-to-face," Layla stated. "No texting."

Olivia nodded. "Only losers apologize over text."

"Right. Of course." Allie murmured. "So, I call Asher and tell him to come over?"
