A/N: Hello my readers! So this is the very last part of this series but Kennedy and Dylan will be in many more stories and books! If you have any ideas or suggestions, I am open to suggestion!
~Six Years Later~
Kennedy's POV:
I walk off stage with my diploma in hand, tears stinging at the corners of my eyes. Dylan wraps me in a tight hug and says "You did such a good job Love, your mom would be very proud." I nod and let a single tear fall as I hold tight to the locket charm bracelet that holds the last memory of my mom.
~Flashback Five Years~
I walk downstairs and wave to my Aunt Emile. She smiles and says "You got a letter." I take the envelope from her and a big smile breaks across my face as I read the word Mom scrolled on the front. I tear it open and unfold the paper. As my eyes scan my mom's cursive, my mood drops. Tears start to well in my eyes and the paper slips from my fingers. I whip out my phone and call my mom. It rings for what seems like an eternity. Finally, it picks up and relief floods me. "Yes this is her...no I didn't...o-oh, okay then...thank you, goodbye." I hang up the phone and the tears flow freely. I sink to the floor and bury my hands in my face. I silently sob on the ground. My mom died from terminal cancer and I never got to say goodbye.
~Present Time~
We walk out of the building and I glance one last time at the school that helped me prepare for my future here in my home country. Suddenly, I'm tackled in a hug from my friends. The tears in my eyes unwillingly fall, tracing lines in my makeup. I laugh and say "You guys are crushing me." They loosen their hold on me and Alya is the first to speak.
"Ahh, girl, I'm so happy for you! You finally finished college!" She rants. I nod and smile. "Congrats dudette." Nino says, holding out his fist. I bump it with mine and a grin breaks out on his face. Classic Nino. Marinette smiles and says "Great job Kennedy." "Great job coz." Adrien says, giving me a brief hug. I look at my friends, my family, and more tears of joy escape my eyes.
"Oh, you all are making me a crying mess." I jokingly complain, wiping away my tears with the kleenex I managed to stuff in my gown's pocket before the whole ceremony. They laugh and I look at them each. Alya works at a news station as a reporter, Marinette just graduated from design school and is helping Aunt Emile run the company, Adrien got his teaching degree and is teaching at our old school, and Nino runs a record company and club, working as the DJ. As for Dylan, he graduated from his school last week with the same degree: Kingdom Management.
I look up at my boyfriend as even in heels, he still manages to be taller than me, and say "A whole future ahead of us and four years of freedom. Where to next?" His lips form a smirk and he says "How about some celebratory ice cream?" "Only if it's Andre's." I say, a challenging look in my eyes. He laughs and says "Then I guess it's good I flew him out."
My eyes widen and I say "You are kidding." "Nope, flew him all the way out. He wanted to come to his favorite customer's graduation." A wide grin breaks out on my face and I dance around with child-like joy. He laughs and tugs me away from the odd looks of my classmates. We walk as a large group to the house, all laughing and having fun.
We enter the house and Andre stands in the kitchen. "Ah! All graduated now I see!" He exclaims as I enter the kitchen. "Andre! So good to see you!" I exclaim as I give the man a big hug. I pull back and he starts to serve everyone. As he gets to me, everyone including Dylan looks at me with anticipation. They don't know what he gives me because I always go alone.
