Not what you thought it was..

When I got up to his room he told me " I love you"

And I miss you...

I don't know what he meant by I miss you? We just seen each other 5 minutes ago.. But I also

I whispered "I love you too"

.

we just layed there..on his bed...

then later that night..... he got up and took my hand and led me to his balcony.

We climbed up the ladder and went on to the roof.. just staring at the stars.. All night, we hugged till daylight came.... then I woke up.. I mean actually waking up...

At that party.. On the roof. Looking at the sun instead of the stars.... With Jared not beside me...

I asked where Jared was... His mother started crying...

He showed me his funeral paper.

He died 4 years ago in a car crash... On his way back home saving me from my old house fire...

Couple of weeks later.. I started thinking of all the times I thought he was there... From the old park structure, to the beach. And to that house party.. All the good times I thought we had... Are gone. It was just me there, realizing if I still had him.. How much better life would be...

Appreciate your loved ones.. you never know when they could be gone.
