“Be my fairytale”

Ivan was in a middle of practicing when he felt someone's watching him, his forehead creases when he looks at the window.

It was always like that, kapag nag pa-piano sya sa room may nararamdaman syang taong nanonood.

It was his secret room na walang ibang nakakaalam kundi sya, Ivan hates attention lalo na sa mga babae.

He grabbed his bag before opening the door naglakad sya sa hallway when he saw a crowd of students.

“Kawawa yung babae.”

“I mean mamatay na naman sya eh.”Out of curiosity lumingon ako and saw a familiar face.

“Stop being pathetic yanae break na kayo ni lance diba, bitter ka parin?”

“Yanae I already said sorry when we broke up diba why are you doing this to Jane?”Ivan saw sadness and embarrassment in yanae's eyes. He felt pity for her.

“Kneel down yanae, gusto mo patawarin Kita?”

“H-hindi ko sinasadya I'm sor—Ivan?”She was shocked when Ivan stopped her from kneeling.

Hindi lang si yanae ang nagulat, halos lahat ng nandon ay nagulat sa paglapit ng walang pakialam sa mundo na si Ivan.

Ivan was shocked by his actions too.

“Let's go.”He grabbed her hands and yanked her away from the crowd.

He brought yanae to his car and offered her a handkerchief para sa damit nyang may dumi.

“Thanks for saving me back there.”He just nodded and silently drove the car away from school.

Yanae was still in shock, She felt like she was dreaming being noticed by Ivan, being inside his car and being saved by him.

She's one of his fans at inaamin nyang matagal na nya itong minamasdan habang tomutogtog.

She looked at ivan and she caught him staring at her too, they both blushed.

Starting that day, yanae became happy and Ivan was starting to change from the cold man who never smiles to a man who laughed freely.

Ivan likes yanae's presence, he likes being with her.. nailalabas nya ang mga emosyong matagal ng nakatago.

And he knew that when she dies, he will never be happy like this again.

“Ivan..can you grant my last wish before I die?”Yanae was leaning on his shoulder, pinapanood nila ang paglubog ng araw.

“Hm?”He tried to act normal but deep inside his chest is already in so much pain.

“Can you serenade me?.”She tried to smile cheerfully, but it turns out to be a weak smile.

“Sige.”They both smiled while looking at the sky.

Weeks pass and yanae never saw Ivan again pati sa school hindi nya ito mahagilap and the doctor said she only have 2 weeks left.

She was looking at the spot where she first saw Ivan, the room Ivan used to practice secretly to avoid people.

She closed her eyes while trying to remember that song he was singing back then.

“Can you be my fairytale.. can you make this ship set sail.. my mind is left in wonder as I fix you in my gaze ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪”

“Can you make my heart beat twice.. Everytime I think it dies... My mind is left in wonder as I fix you in my eyes♪ ♪ ♪”His voice on her mind felt so real it made her cry.

“And I.. I need a saviour now and I.. I need to love you now.. Be my fairytale make the ship set sail..”She felt a hand caressing her face and she opens her eyes.

She saw Ivan smiling at his back are her friends and classmates waving a heart shaped balloons.

“You're the real love I've been hoping for.. be my fairytale I know this love won't fail I need a princess to say hey hey ♪ ♪ ♪”Ivan wiped her tears using his thumb while looking at her eyes.

“Be my fairytale..”Ivan opened the red box, her eyes widened as she saw the ring inside.

Kung sa ibang pagkakataon tumalon na sya sa sobrang saya but this is reality, she's dying and she doesn't want Ivan to stay beside her and pity her.

“I'm sorry ivan.. I can't accept that I can't be your fairytale this is not a fairytale Ivan.. I'm dying and that's my reality.”She turned her back on him but stopped when she heard what he said.

“I'm dying too doesn't that makes us soulmates?”Napatingin sya kay ivan, Wala syang makitang pagbibiro sa expression ng mukha nito.

Humakbang ito palapit sa kanya and cupped her face lovingly.

“I've been suffering from an illness since elementary I've been fighting this just because I want to be with you.. yes, yanae I liked you since we were kids..”she burst into tears.

“Remember that kid who always saves you from the bully? Remember that kid who got beaten to death? That was me yanae..”She hugged him as she remembers everything.

“We'll be together forever... we'll continue our fairytale in our next life..”She dried her tears and stared at Ivan.

“So can you be my fairytale?”She nodded.

“I-ivan..”She bit her lower lip as Ivan slid the ring on her finger.

Their classmates cheered and cried when Ivan kissed her passionately.

Fairytale exist for the both of them, two people fell in love despite the tragic things happened to them.
