14: My Girlfriend Went For Surgery

Mark's part of the crew now if you don't like it deal with it

Monday came quickly, and I was ready for the surgery. Tareq started recording and faced the camera at Jimmy. "What is up, beast gang? Today we're doing a vlog."

"MORE LIKE HOW LONG CAN JIMMY SURVIVE WITHOUT LAUREN CHALLENGE!" Chris yelled as the crew laughed except me, Jimmy and Tareq.

Jimmy rolled his eyes in annoyance and continued talking. "So if you remember in our last video, Scotch cheated and forced Lauren underneath the jam. Bailey and I took her to the hospital and found out she had some left in-which lung was it again?" he asked looking at me.

"Left lung," I answered as he faced the camera again.

"So Lauren has some jam left over in her left lung and she's going for surgery to remove it."

"We've got 15 minutes until we have to go... I'll be right back with my bag," I said as Jimmy followed.

"I'll take it for you!" Jimmy said as we walked up the stairs.

Chris walked up to me, so I decided to ask him a question. "So what do you think is gonna happen as soon as Jimmy walks out the hospital without Lauren?"

"I reckon he's gonna cry and be sad and angry and worried and a whole bunch of other stuff."

I asked everyone else the same thing. "He's definitely gonna be sad about it, but we have to support our friend." (Bailey)

"He's gonna panic about every possible outcome." (Jake)

"He's not gonna be the same." (Ethan)

"He's gonna come back a changed man." (Chandler)

"He's gonna stress a lot." (Tyler)

"He's gonna be depressed." (Mark)

"He's gonna lose it." (Garret)

Afterwards, Jimmy and Lauren walked down the stairs. "Bailey, record his reaction once he's out the hospital."

"Oh, I will." I took the camera from Tareq, walking out with Jimmy and Lauren and sat in the car. "So we're taking Lauren to the hospital and... I'm kinda curious to see how Jimmy reacts."

We made it the hospital and saw Dr Schneeplestein as soon as we walked in. "Doctor Schneep!"

"Ahh, Lauren! Ready for the operation?"

"Yes, I am!"

"Okay, give me your bag. The nurse will take it to your allocated room."

Lauren gave Schneep her bag and hugged Jimmy, who kissed her cheek. "I'll be fine, Jimmy. Schneep's the best doctor around."

He seemed to believe it and kissed Lauren's lips. We said goodbye to her and walked out. Just as Garret and I suspected, Jimmy lost it, crying his eyes out, shaking like mad, heavy breathing, and major anxiety. "Jimmy, imagine if Lauren ran out and saw you like this. We wouldn't want her to worry about you, do we?" And it all slowly returned to normal. "Now, let's go home."

Little did we know that this was only the beginning.

"So Jimmy definitely lost it, and I don't know what to do." I looked at him and sighed as we walked to the car. "I'm really worried about him."

We got home and went inside, then Jimmy started to stress about every possible outcome. "What if she dies? What if she can't do the things she loves? What if-"

"Stop." He stopped once I spoke. "Don't think about negative outcomes, it's not good for you."

"Okay... I'll stop."

"Jimmy, when we moved here, it was actually because our father passed away after his surgery and our mother didn't know what to do. She was friends with your mom so we moved two streets away from you. When our father surgery, we didn't worry about the possible outcomes. Do me a favour, and don't worry about her... please."

"How am I not supposed to worry about her if she's everything to me? The only reason I get through everything? The only person who can feel my pain?"

"I know she means the world to you, and I know you can't lose her, but trust me. She'll be fine. I know my own sister."

"Thanks, Bailey..." then he walked to the kitchen and started stress eating, stress thinking, you know, all that shit.

I looked at Tareq and sighed. Can this get any better?

Time Skip cause I don't want Jimmy to be a depressed little shit

The next morning, Garret and I drove to pick up Lauren. The surgery went well and she can come home now. We were planning on telling Jimmy but Lauren wanted to surprise him.

We arrived home, still recording and found Jimmy staring at us in surprise and happiness. Lauren walked towards him and hugged. It was like they haven't seen each other in forever.

Lauren
"I missed you, MrBeast..." I told Jimmy as he kissed my cheek.

"I missed you too, MrsBeast..." We were both shedding tears of joy.

"And in the end, they're still together," Jake said as the crew laughed.

Jimmy and I were still hugging as Bailey said, "Ethan, let's go edit this video." Then walked upstairs with Ethan. The crew went to do their own things, but all I wanted to do was be with Jimmy.

"Oh, Jimmy!" Chris yelled from upstairs. "Your mom's coming over and staying a while!"

"Well, fuck," Jimmy whispered in my ear. He yelled back, "Did she say when she was coming?"

"She told me to tell you later this week, sometime! She's gonna stay for a week!"

"Thanks, Chris!"

I knew he wasn't happy, so I simply asked, "Want to go for a walk?"

"Sure." We got out and walked around the block.

"I'm kinda worried about your mom visiting us for a week..." I told Jimmy truthfully. "I mean, I like her and all, but... I just think she's gonna embarrass us. You know, cause we're dating."

"To be honest, Laur, I'm kinda worried too." We spoke the whole time while walking probably 5 or 6 laps around the block. But for the week with Jimmy's mom...

I'm worried.
