Dear reader,
I am one of the inhabitants in the human exhibit here on Zotor. Many months ago, I was captured by the zookeepers, while on a scientific quest. My life has been miserable. Here in the zoo, there are only three things to do for fun. I have read all of the books provided, gone for walks that have left my legs shaking, and have ridden the Whirly Dirly many times. The sun is scorching, but the snow means almost certain pneumonia. The worst part about the weather is not knowing which will come. My first week consisted of two snow days, then on the third, the snow was melted and the leaves on the trees started to crisp up from the burning sun. I do not wish this fate upon anyone and I am deeply regretful if you are trapped here, reading this for leisure time.
Now, the real reason I'm writing this is to plan my escape. There is a portion of the rollercoaster that leaves the protection shield. If it's timed right, I might be able to jump off and sled down the shield on my makeshift sled. I am hoping to make shelter outside the borders of the city. I have constructed a radio, with which I will contact those on earth to come rescue me. Hiding from the aliens will be difficult.
The aliens have similar characteristics, but not enough to go without disguise. Unfortunately, that is not the problem. These Zotorians are smart. Like predict the future, smart. I have found a way to avoid that. All of their date is of the Big Chip in the city's core. Once I have secured a safe position outside of the zoo, I will hack into the Chip and scramble the data, while collecting some for study back on earth. With everything in disarray, I will be able to flee safely.
Reader, I cannot predict if you will be another inhabitant or a keeper, either way, I wish to never see you in this place again.
-Sincerely, X
Placing the book on the ground, I stood up in my dark, dirty, and over cluttered room. And I ran.
