|Selenia POV|

"Ebony... I missed my period." I was on the verge on tears. A gasp came from the other end. "Are you fuckin' serious?!" Ebony gasped. "Yes, I'm fuckin' serious!" I yelled. "You needa make sure if it's true. Did you get a pregnancy test?", Ebony asked.

"No..."

"I'm coming to your place to pick you up."

"In an hour?"

"Deal."

I sighed in disbelief.

What if she was pregnant?

I shook my head. Just thinking about it made me feel some type of way. I got off my bed, and got something decent to wear: a pair of gold sandals and a white maxi dress. I let my hair down. I ran downstairs to grab the car keys, only to see Zakee munching on popcorn. I suddenly felt bad for him. "Where you goin'", he demanded. "Going out with Selenia." I sighed. Zakee chuckled. "Her ass is amazinnggg in bed, my nigga!"

"Well, that's nice." I cringed. "But, tell her fine self I said hello." Zakee smiled, imitating Stevie J. I rolled my eyes, and left the house.

I paced around my room, until the doorbell rang. I grabbed my purse, and bolted out my room. I didn't stop running, 'til I reached Ebony's car. "C'mon, get in!" She said. I got in. We looked at each other. "No matter what happens...I'll always be there for you." Ebony said. A tear fell down my cheek.

"These pregnancy tests are so damn expensive!", I complained. "Wouldn't say that 'bout some Jordan's!" Ebony snickered. "I heard that!"

"It was meant to be heard!"

I took a test. "Okay, this one looks good enough." Ebony scrunched up her face. "Oh hell naww! You need 'First Response'!" She held out the First Response pregnancy test box. "That shit is expensive!" I said.

"Duhh, cuz it works!" Ebony went to go pay for it. "Ma'am, there's a bathroom here right?", Ebony asked after paying. "Yes. Go straight, and make a right."

"Thank you so much." Ebony handed me the test. "C'mon, get in there! I'll be waiting out here."

I went to the bathroom, and opened the box. I sighed. "This is it."

|Ebony POV|

I was panicking. Selenia was only sixteen, and if she is pregnant, our lives will change. Especially her and Zakee. I cringed at the thought. I should've told him about it, before I left. "Is everything okay?" An employee asked me,"you look a little dizzy."

"Oh, I'm fine. Thanks." I said. "Is there like a chair or something, that I could sit in?" I asked him. He pointed to a metal chair beside pills aisle. "Over there."

"Thanks, again."

Almost twenty minutes had passed by. It didn't take that long for someone to use a pregnancy test. Did it? I got up, and knocked on the bathroom door."Selenia? Is everything fine?"

I heard sobs. A good and bad sign. "Yea, I'm coming out." Selenia sniffed. She walked out, with tears flowing down her face, nonstop. Oh no. I tried to be a little cheerful about the situation, and kept a smile. "What are the results?"

"Gimme a tissue first. I can't go out looking like a hoochie!" Selenia said, sniffing. I sneaked a tissue box, and opened it. "Here", I handed it to her.

"Gracias..."she wiped away her tears.

"So...what are the results?" I was growing impatient.

"Ebony...I'm pregnant."

I gave her a hug. "Congrats."

"We have to tell Zakee about this." Selenia wiped a tear away. "Boy, will my dad have a fit. He left me limping cuz I came home late from a date. Let's see what he gone do with a baby daddy in the house!"

Selenia bust out laughing. "Let's grab something to eat, I'm hungry!" She said.

We went to go grab a bite at McDonald's, since we were kind of broke. "So you know what this means, right?" I said, taking a bit of my quarter pounder. "No more drinking, no more sex for fun, none of that crazy shit." I continued. "I wonder if it's a boy, or a girl." Selenia thought out loud. Her face went pale. "What's wrong?" I asked. "My mom. What's she gonna say 'bout this?" Selenia looked down at her belly. I couldn't believe there was a living thing growing in there. "Like you always say, we gone find a way." I reassured her. "Bitch, that shit rhymed, too!" Selenia smiled. I rolled my eyes. Only she would say that.

After lunch, I drove Selenia to my house, so we could set things straight with Zakee. "Ebony, what if he leaves me?" Selenia was getting emotional. "He won't! He's had a crush on 'yo ass since we first met! And plus, if tries to, my dad gone fix him." I said. We entered the house. My dad was still at work. "Zakee! Getcho ass down here!" I yelled. He bolted down the stairs. "Wassup?" He leaned over Selenia for a kiss. "Okay, okay, hurry up with y'all nastiness! Selenia got something to tell you." I snapped. She pulled away. "What is it?" Zakee had no clue. The poor fool.

"Zakee..I'm..I'm pregnant."Selenia said. Zakee looked like he was still processing this in his head. Selenia looked down. I crossed my arms. "Is this...true?"Zakee looked concerned. "Unless the expensive pregnancy test is fucked up.."Selenia started.

"We needa make sure this shit is really true." Zakee said. "The clinic should be open, tomorrow.." I brought up. "Yea. We should all go." Zakee replied. "Are you ever gonna...leave me?" Selenia spoke so soft, it sounded like a whisper. "Of course not! Especially with this 'lil thing in the way."

"THING?!?" Selenia and I both yelled. "This ain't no damn thang! This a baby!" Selenia's hispanic accent was coming out, once again. "Calm down! Stress is bad for the baby's health." Zakee snapped. "At least he knows somethin'." Selenia mumbled under her breath. I heard my dad's car coming up the driveway.

"So it's settled. Clinic tomorrow at-"

"At four."

"Four it'll be. I gotta drive you home, though. C'mon."
