It's alright if you are. Because a lot of people are.
Here is my 10 simple steps to get into a proper high school relationship for dummies.
1. Find the right person. The right person can be anyone from the quiet one to the class clown to your science lab partner or even one of your close friends.
2. Become friends. You can not straight away get into a relationship unless you are Romeo and Juliet, in which case your relationship will sink like the Titanic. So please get to know the person before you continue. What are their dislikes? What are their likes? If you are already friends, skip this step.
3. This is the step where you sit down in a quiet place and think. Do you still like this person after you have gotten to know their personality? Are they actually an asshole you want to keep a kilometre radius from? Are they just a friend? Do you like them?
4. If after step 4 you still like them, the next big step is to get their number. When you are getting their number please please please don't sound like a stalker. The perfect excuses to get someone's number is school assignments or a group outing you've planned.
5. Make conversations to them via your phone. Don't call them in the middle of the night and ask them waht they are doing!!! But make casual conversations like:how are you? How is your assignment going? I need help in revising for the upcoming test. Wanna revise together?
6. Start interacting with them on social media like Facebook, twitter etc. Once again DO NOT act like a stalker and don't like every photo they post a hundred times. That is a total turn off.
7. Start hanging out. Just you two. Don't refer to it as a date just hanging out.
8. Do step 3, again.
9. Drop subtle hints eg. compliments, favours, hugs, support if they are feeling low etc.
10. Ask them on a date. REMEMBER to be casual and welcoming and friendly. Do not sound like a stalker.
