Ayaan's POVTime flies. This is what experience people say. It really does. I feel like it's yesterday I got announced that I am going to be married off to a billionaire. Maybe it is just a marriage for Parkers but not to me. Andrew and I are going to be one body. This all I could think of this marriage. Is he taking this as serious as I am. No idea. Is it easy if I don't think about it at all??
Today is the last ritual of the marriage. As the wedding is coming closure, my tension is increasing. Is it normal?? Am I tensed because I'm marrying or marrying to him?? Nonetheless, I love him. I shouldn't be a pessimist. He has feelings for as I have for him. This is enough to build a family, right??
"Ayaan boy, Do you have a few minutes to talk??" My Mom asked knocking on the door. "Yes, Mom. Please come in", I answered. I immediately dried my eyes which I didn't notice tearing a while ago. Maybe Mom noticed it and started rubbing my back. I gave her a helpless smile.
She wanted to apologize again but I stopped before she could put it in words. "How many times would you apologize, Mom?? Don't try to take all the responsibility on your shoulders. I can even see dark circles forming beneath your eyes. Promise that you will take care of yourself", I said looking into those eyes.
She heavily sighed,"Ayaan, you look strong now unlike in the past but you are still innocent inside. You forgave us and learnt to love your fiance but listen one thing Ayaan, the world is more cruel than you imagine. You should be as wise as a serpent while being pure as a pigeon. You have spent two years without parents. You might think it's not a big deal to be for the rest of the years as well but in these two years you were not bound with any responsibility. You were not in anyone's observation. These all will change after marriage. You will have more responsibilities and more people to look after."
"Mom, I am not a girl!!" I whined.
"No matter what gender is yours, you are a son of Tina who taught her son how to manage a house" Mom explained proudly. I smiled.
"I'm going to Parkers. You have to get ready for the ceremony. You are going to have the same haldi as your husband" she teased.
"Mommmm!!" I shouted covering my face with my hands.
"Ok, I am leaving!! Don't forget to get ready" she left. I turned my face where a big mirror was hung and saw my cherry red face. One song I have heard is apt for me now...
"Mohe rang do laal
nand ke laal laal
chheDo nahi bas rang do laal
mohe rang do laal""Color me red,
O son of Nand,
don’t tease me, just color me red,
color me red"Just the difference is he is the son of Nick lol......I laughed at the thought. I have seen many movies with Rachel recently.
Andrew's POV
All relatives along with parents of mine and main women of Malhotra family are at our house now currently staring at me as if I am a rare creature. I tensed at their attention.
Meanwhile Aunt Tina walked towards me and said while applying"One of the reasons behind applying haldi is that the bride and groom invite peace and prosperity. I want you two live in peace." Her words were so soothing. She is the simple woman I have ever seen. I'm happy that she is my mom in law.
"Boy is blushing bahu( daughter in law)!!" Sakshi said from behind. Everyone laughed agreeing that they could see me blushing as well.
What?? When did I blush even blush. Are they imagining things?? Maybe it is a tradition to say even if I am not blushing. I let it slide by thinking that. My mom and Tina are on cloud nine. This is the chance. I thought to myself.
